This is bull****. Shane just fought Floyd at the WW limit with NO complaints. Unless Shane requested it, it makes no sense. It seems Team Pac would rather risk the paper 154 belt, so Pac can remain at play, at 147, as a title holder, should he, by some chance, lose to Shane. It's always a "catch" with Pac's fights, these days. :bart
Rep? what "rep"? the only ones bitching about "catch weights" and "reps" are some die hard boxing fans, and I don't know if u've noticed there's not that many of us left in the world. 99% of sports fans and the rest of casual fans don't give two shits about reps or catch weights. In the end the majority will drown out the beefs of the small minority. It's just the way it is. Many critics have had legitimate beefs with floyd and his "reign" at 147, from "ducking" hard opponents to going on "vacations" or "retirement" right when the division heats up. But the vast majority of casual fans and the rest of the world didn't/don't give a ****, which is why he continued to get all the love till pac came along and stole his crown. Now pacs got his group of die hards with legitimate beefs but in the end it won't have anything to do with how he's remembered by 99% of the world.
the point is not advantage, its that its pointless having a fight for the 154 title at 148 when the welter limit is 147.. and both fighters are more comfortable at WW .
