Who is this guy? Never heard of him until now! This content is protected http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=2375815
Glad to see I'm not the only fan here. Yeah, noone will ever accuse of ducking the top fighters. WAR MIRANDA!!:bbb
Absolutely!! It would be hillarious to see some one try to say Miranda ducked some one.:yep I just wish somebody will have the balls to fight him, don't want to go too long without my "Pantera" fix.
Yeah, its a damn shame Miranda is just too much risk versus reward. I can't blame Kessler and the others, why fight Miranda when you got a chance to make your bread with someone easier......:verysad
I LOVE MIRANDA!!!!! my second favorite fighter.... and that is saying something as my top 3 hasnt changed in like 4 years... but he did it. i can recognise his faults as a fighter and i know hes not the best, but i will root for him until hes not fighting anymore, and then some. GO PANTERA!!!
I like watching Miranda fight, but people are giving him to much credit and he expects title fights with established champions. My POINT is, what has Miranda achieved to deserve so much hype? He beat a shot H.Eastman. Big deal!
The thing is, if he was a soft touch, champions or contenders would line up around the block to fight him. He's bigtime TV exposure because folks like to see him fight. Anyone who beats will gain instant legitimacy like Kelly Pavlik. But he's not a soft touch, and he's too much risk.
great post!!! :good:happy I couldn't have said it better, I always wanted to back Miranda up on this forum but you definitely beat me to it! He is a fantastic guy and hes come from the pits of hell and has made the most out of the hard work that hes put into the gym. His "trash" talking is simply to get high quality fighters in the ring with him. And like someone else said, All the trash talking that he does he never uses offensive language and if you put his trash talking aside he really is a class act. There isn't anything that is shady about this guy, he is a very humble man.
"Only in boxing, it seems, do we have stories like this. A story so unconscionable, so far over the line of adversity, that it forces us to reassess our own struggles and hardships. It's the kind of story that makes you understand why it seems boxing is featured in more critically acclaimed movies than any other sport. And maybe one day down the road, there will be casting directors looking to fill the role of Edison Miranda. They should already be writing the script." Classic **** right there :good If Miranda knocks out some high profile opponents, I'd love to see a movie on his life!
Agree entirely. I think he's great, and I always look forward to watching him fight. Plus his story really gets to me.
If anyone ever gets the opportunity to actually meet him and hang out with him you will see one real down to earth cool dude. He always plays around and makes u laugh. Plus what a lot of people don't know is the charity work he does for the homeless kids in Colombia. Good hearted guy.
