I'm not a fan of the smack-talk, but I like pretty much every other aspect of him that I've seen. He's an extremely exciting fighter, a warrior in the ring with an enormous punch, he fights often and will fight anyone, and as you say, his life story is a truly inspiring one. Miranda is one of my favorite current fighters.

 

Look how he reacts after putting Banks through the ropes. He just stands there, and turns and walk to the neutral corner like it was nothing.

People always hate on a **** talker, true humility is a rare trait . However, Miranda's story is incredible though

 

I lived in edison's hometown for 4 months in Barenquilla. Granted, My family there is well off and the good parts of the city are no different than what you would find here in america. However, the ghettos outside of the city is some **** straight out of those commercials where you can sponsor a child. Houses made out of whatever garbage there was, people who look skinny like they are from somolia. The **** is crazy how poor they are. There is no welfare in Colombia. So these people will do the wildest **** to get money. I am talking like digging a hole in the middle of a road so you cannot drive by. You give them some money (not much granted a dollar here or there), and they fill up the hole. When you drive by, they dig it up again ROFL. This is the type of poverty edison grew up in. And is one ofthe reasons why I am a huge fan of his.

Before the fight with Abraham he behaved like an ******* and so he was treated that way. BTW direktly after the fight he admited that he lost, perhaps he was to tired for shittalking...

His cut throating gestures during his walk in for the Abraham fight carried off the prize.His trash talking before and after that fight didnt help him to win some new fans either.A class act? Ludicrous!
He is the embodiment of what is wrong with boxing on the American continent.Nodoby cares a fig for such a class act over there.Abraham can sell 20,000 tickets for a fight with millions of people watching such a fight in front of their tv sets.A thug like Miranda can hardly sell a dozens of tickets with no media attention at all.

atsch You couldnt handle one week living how Miranda grew up. After what he has been through and where is he now, it is amazing. He is great for this sport, he puts in 100% to entertain us fans, and he gives back a good portion of his earning to needy children. Too trash him just goes to show what an ******* you are.

 

yeah it is definetly surreal how someone can come out of a 3rd world country like that and make it big here in the states. I guess you just have to see it with your own eyes to truly realize how ****ing good we got it here in america. I mean poor is not even the word to describe where he grew up in, and I dont think there is a word for it honestly. Maybe hopeless.

As for Miranda I dont care a fig for his tough childhood.Lots of fighters had a tough childhood,but they dont behave like inmature schoolyard bullies and ghetto thugs.You may find that kind of behaviour entertaining,but I am positive that the vast mayority of us fightfans around the globe certainly dont agree with you.
I know that Miranda is a product of that American culture where respect to other human beings is quite limited,but outside the USA and its spanish speaking colonies on the American continent there are other cultures who appreciate good manners and respectful behaviour.I know that this is difficult to understand for you.
Anyway! Miranda's repulsive and respectless trash talking for and after the Abraham fight and his outrageously disgusting cut throating gestures during his walk in were not the behaviour of a class act as some posters believe to think. Miranda is not a class act! And he for sure isnt great for this sport!
