all hype for eubanks Hes this His that, he is the the second coming of srr etc.

But BJS beat him and all the other british irish prospects, and gets no respect or hype on here, Saunders is a top level boxer that needs to work on stamina and power, just because hes a gypsy he gets no support you racists. :yep

Saunders is a vey good fighter. He'd be getting the hype if he took the andy lee fight but he didn't. He's fair negative too about fighting them top guys

True,we've never supported fighters from the minorities like Bruno,Benn,Eubank and Prince Hamed.

Well personally I couldn't care where they're from as long as they can fight and Saunders can certainly do that.
I would say that the main problem he doesn't have a wider fan base is although he's a very good technician he's not a heavy hitter,he appeals more to the boxing connoisseurs than the wider casual public.

Id think the british public would get behind him more, he wont be an international superstar but still I wondering why he isn't talked about as much, hes 2nd to murray and only 25 and has a big future, fighting the winner of lee quillin so...

I think it's more to do with his boring style, lack of power and the fact he has 0 charisma.

Casuals don't get behind boxers. They only watch for the KOs

go back to some of the interviews on youtube pre eubank fight , there are quite a few snide little comments aimed at eubank which are considered racist in the PC era that we are now in , in fact i also remember a few remarks made to interviewer kugan cassius as well that kugan did not react too but you could see he was quite taken back and not amused .

Others have said it, and it is right. People only really, really, really get behind a boxer if they have KO power or, failing that, the ability to turn a fight on a punch and accumulate enough to force a stoppage.

Not everyone has to punch like a mule, and there are exceptions to the rule, but it seriously helps your marketability.

think josh warrington disproves this to some degree, there needs to be a likability factor about the fighters to attract casuals, which Bruno hatton etc had.

CEJ is being talked about as he's just fought, when he doesn't fight there's not too much mentioned about him.

When BJS does fight, and if he didn't take step aside money he could have fought for both WBO and IBF titles, people would talk about him - both on the site and in the wider boxing press.

He's a good boxer, arguably no 1 in the MW in terms of boxing skill, he's a smallish MW though and does seem to have stamina issues.
