Agree. I do think it was a cherry pick gone wrong but he didn't cry about it and took the loss....unlike some of the complete wet blankets on here.
Watch the post fight press conference, Canelo is out here saying he thinks he won now. He got gifted 4 decisions already in his career, now he’s crying like one of those wet blankets. Viva Mex …. Viva Russia i mean
He's made bigger moves to challenge himself since 2018 than the Kazakh businessman, that's for sure. He isn't, he's one of the top boys at 175. Not going straight for Beterbiev isn't tantamount to cherrypicking.
He bit off more than he could chew this time but at least he showed the desire to test himself against guys like Bivol. Say what you will about Canelo he doesn't lack self belief or ambition. From taking on Mayweather at 23, to facing GGG, Saunders, Kovalev and Bivol. But lets be honest about most of his career, there's almost always been an angle from catch weights, rehydration clauses, waiting til opponents were past their best and even with Bivol he picked a small light heavyweight who only gains 6-7lbs after rehydrating. He unfortunately leaves a lot for his critics to call him out on so a lot of people will be twisting the knife now he's been beaten again.
I was going to giive him the benefit of the doubt. I didn't see the post fight presser so screw him. he's had plenty of gimmies in his career. The Ginger wet blanket.
Canelo is a natural MW imo. I remember how he looked vs jcc jr and jcc survive simply due to his size. He’s like 5’8, he doesn’t belong in LHW. I did predict Bivol might take this, and that Canelo might get outboxed for most of the fight and then pull off a KO at the end much like he did vs Kovalev. but Bivol’s guard was very good, always had those hands up. Opportunity never came.
He did sneak it into the post-fight interview after his initially magnanimous statement. It's lame. I get refusing to admit defeat in the sense of wanting to go again and reverse it, but he'd do himself much more justice by just conceding that the first chapter in the rivalry belongs to Bivol.
No need to project I'm completely sober.... I've been feasting on your salty tears for some time. I've already clearly explained to you on at least two occasions. therefore I don't think me explaiining again is going to help. Maybe go for a nap and when you've stopped weeping I will explain it to again.
In the case of the Bivol fight I'd agree. I was surprised there was no deck stacking or outrageous decision. I thought it was wider than 115-113, but the right man won. Canelo showed guts in even wanting to fight Bivol. Cherrypick gone wrong? Hell of a cherrypick in that case.
