I agree...mostly. But fighters were scared of Mike Tyson. He's one of the few that I can think of that actually scared world champions to death.

Being scared does not equal inferior. So get your question right dude are you asking if they get scared facing another badass or if they feel inferior?

There is also a difference between being SCARED and normal pre-fight butterflies.

    Yep.

The OP has a point, I guess that's the general rule, but there certainly are exceptions like the one you mentioned. Some say that fighters feed off of their fear inside the ring.

I agree they're not scared. But some duck others if they think theres a chance of getting beat in order to keep their careers more progressive

    I disagree.
    Promoters do that.
    Not the fighters.

Fear plays a factor. The problem is that it's overblown on forums by people who have literally never been in a physical confrontation in their entire lives.

Ya, everyone feels fear. Absoluely everyone. It's just that some manage those emotions better than others.

most of you are missing the thread starters point.

nothing to do with fight night nerves but the idea that one fighter won't get in the ring with another because of fear, this is blown way out of proportion by the legions of keyboard warriors.
