    The Spanish Language uses upside down question marks and right side up question marks. Any time there is a question, both question marks are used (upside down and right side up one).

    The upside down one is used before the question mark and its to let the reader know that a question is starting. And the right side up question mark is used at the end of the question and it is used so the reader know the question is ending.

    Ex. ¿Por qué es el mundo como es?
    (Translation: Why is the world how it is? )
    Source(s):

    Have been reading in spanish for at least 15 years....
