In referance to your early post about the pizza (lol). That was NOT a great analogy BUT i totally got what you meant. I am not saying Donaire is ABOVE pac, what i am saying is he is a pure boxing with technical brilliance. HOWEVER skill alone is not enough and other factors come into play, i am saying Donaire has the more polished skills nothing else.
Yea because guys like Diaz, Larios, and Oscar were all either old, weight drained, or a B- level ( Diaz ).... It's easy to look great against those type of opponents. Yea Donaire has been hit a few times and he proved that he had a chin if anything. It's not like Pac hasn't been knocked out by bums and part time valet boys. In terms of pure technical ability, Donaire tops it.
Timing. Ring generalship/ring smarts. Technique. LEGITAMATELY two fisted. Counter punching. Picking his punches. Variety of punches. He can fight on the back foot, to the side, right, left. MASTER tactician. However there are many things Pacman does better then Donaire, which are based around his physical attirbutes and athletic ability. Don't get me wrong Pacquaio is no joke. I am not suggesting otherwise. He is physically more gifted than donaire. no doubt.
well its not like Donaire has faced ATGs so your argument about quality of opposition is valid for both. and once again I am a huge fan of Donaire. I don't like talking against him but things have to be kept in perspective. For example when he has to chase his opponent he has trouble. That's a hard style for him to deal with.
No Ill give u back foot, but hesitant to give you counter puncher. From the few fights I seen of Donaire the only fight where he did use counter punching effecitively was against Darchinyan. Better footwork? :rofl Donaire's ring generalship has alot of flaws. Better defense, like I said in the other post, Donaire got hit more against Maldonado, and Mthalane than Pac has against 4 of his last 5 opponents.
Hmmmm to be honest footwork proberly goes to Pac, he is seriously hard to pin down when he wants to get away. He gets in and out (of range) like a robbery. On the other hand if you circle away from his power hand (his left) and don't stand paralell he has serious problems get into position and setting his feet for his shots. (Marquez first fight).
Oh shoot, what was I saying. I must have been meaning to say better backfoot fighter. My bad, that was my mistake.
I know, I made a mistake right there. When I re-read the post, I was like "how". But I'm not gonna be a b!tch like other posters and edit my posts.
