nonito is my favorite fighter next to floyd, but I think he'll only be effective up to featherweight. He fights different, intelligent and like a killer. I favor him over guys like gamboa and rigo, nobody blows out a great ATG like montiel that way. It still gives me the chills everytime I watched that fight

Carry his skills? Wtf? Do you mean speed? Well he cant be as fast if he reached Welterweight. In addition, his relative ko power now will be very hard to carry up in weight. Right now he knocks out anything he touches with that left. If he can do that at WW he will be an ATG.

It is these reasons that only the truly greatest fighters in history have been able to move up in weigt succesfully.

Let me add, a guy like Hagler who chose to stay at MW is still great but chose to stay in his comfort zone. I am not implying he was not great.

I love to watch this guy box. He's one of those fighters where every movement and punch comes so natural like Gamboa, Rigondaeux, Roy Jones, Toney and on

Nonito's fight night weight for Montiel is like 126 or so right? If thats the case FW/SFW might be the limit for now.

Donaire will never fight Rios bc they share the same trainer so far. The toughest fights out there are Nishioka (hopefully coming up soon), Rigondeaux (very though fight IMO). So many options. I would have liked to see him fight the winner of Mares vs Agbeko though. But I guess this one won't happen.

Pac is a freak of nature. Don't get too absorbed with his weight climbing.

Nonito having the same race meaning nearly identical bone mass with Pac, if he does make it to WW and dominate, then I'd be very very very surprised.
My guess is he tops out at LW.

Who knows, even PacDbest sounded absurd when he was mentioning Pac would be at 147 down the road. And he was right.

Maybe Donaire will eventually move up.

My hunch is that he'll be at 135 the most.

But he'll be much more dangerous the older he gets. Donaire is the type who will not need to rely on his speed. His skills will be enough to take him through.

The match-up i'd love to see is Donaire-Rigondaeux.

Donaire looked a light-featherweight back at fly and looks a SFW now at bantam, with proper nutritioning and muscle work I don't think 135 is out of reach. What's amazing is not how many weights he can jump but how could ha made those lower limits.

Nonito definitely has the body of a weight jumper and yeah, he has Victor Conte too...

i can see him up to 135-140 only.. and even if he gets older while still climbing up, i think it wouldnt be a problem for him to have those risky fights.. this guy is a tactician, when he fights, he is stalking his opponents' moves like some kind of predator before making those killer counters.

He will get starched against a fighter faster and more powerful than him like Gamboa, and Rigondeaux will take him to school or make him buy a new liver, Montiel is a slow midget compared to those two.

I don't think he will be effective past 130, people are getting carried away after seeing Pac move up
