This is an off the beaten path post but I just watched the third fight again on YouTube. At the end of the video Norton is in the ring, hands to his face crying that he lost a fight he thought he handily won. I thought then and now it was a close fight but something struck me watching the video this time.
Nortons hand wraps were already cut from his hands as he left the ring. Weird since I remember the story that Kens arm was severely cut by his trainer while removing his hand wraps after this fight. Hand wraps were removed in the ring....no cut. Does anyone else remember this story? Where did the cut come from if not via removing the hand wraps as was reported? I remember the cut was a bad one forcing Norton to lay off quite a few months until it healed

    Houdini,
I thought this story related to Renaldo Snipes after his loss to Holmes in '81, I may be wrong though...I've never heard this story in relation to Kenny Norton.
