Kessler's only overrated as a threat to Joe, otherwise he;s a good fighter.

I agree completley, no fighter seems to win purely on merit, there is always something wrong with the loser. I think Joe will win but will be tested by Kessler.

He is an above-decent quality fighter, but JC will still beat him.

Kessler is an excellent fighter and when he wins, I wouldn't be suprised if people started making excuses for Calzaghe. I'm guessing these will be a few of them; "J.C is past his prime", "J.C hurt his hand and that's why he wasn't landing any punches", "It was a bad decision"(this is assuming J.C doesn't get KO'd).

Kessler should logically be the favorite going into this fight.

No he shouldn't. If you're a bookie you wan't pretty much even action being placed on both fighters. If Kessler were the betting favorite, a **** load of people would put their money on Calzaghe(even though I believe Kessler will win, the general betting public doesn't). If most of action was on Calzaghe, then the bookies would be assed out if Calzaghe were to win.

But Kessler will win mate, he is the young, prime, invincible looking fighter - Calzaghe is injury prone and on the slide. They would make a lot of money when Kessler won thanks to fools like Amsterdam betting on Calzaghe.

considering that Calzaghe is from the UK and how much they love to gamble then not really...

But in terms of winning odds then I agree Kessler should be 60-40 favorite

This always made me laugh..Who the **** are the fans to label a boxer a hype job? You gotta have some balls to call a boxer overrated or overhyped...I just think its funny coming from an average person who isn't an athlete..Calling an athlete over rated is pretty funny to me.. Lacy was a strong challenger with KO power..He was dismantled SO HARD that everyone suddenly looked at him like a D+ fighter. What if Lacy vs Kessler happened and it was a war and they ended up killing each other in there...What then? would Lacy still be a hype job? Give me a break!:deal

Lacy was hyped b/c of the way he won and his physique more then anything...But Kessler is the real deal although calzaghe would whoop his ass on the inside. Kessler cant fight on the inside for **** but can fight going backwards. Interesting matchup. Can go either way. If calzaghe stays on top of him Kessler wont look good but if it is fought at range..Kessler has very good timing and a good punch to go with it.
