Not really Williams really doesn't use it. If he did he would have beaten Margo far worse.

no insult there m'man.... just your opinion.

the other fighters i never really overated though.... miranda i thought was good, he is good. i only seen clips of pavlik so i couldnt judge him there, and thought, and still think hes top 5 in the world at 160.

mayorga... i dont think it was as much me overating him as he just fell off, i knew oscar would beat him, i thought he would do a lot better with tito, and would have if he would have come in any form of shape... an in shape mayorga is hardly out of breath in the 8th round, let alone 3rd like he was in the trinidad one. regardless.... i thought he stood a chance, i guess thats overating him.... but none of them like this.

vargas.... **** i never have overated him.

imo, the only fighters i really ever OVERrated in the true sense of the word is judah, and he would actually be as good as i thought he was, if he had the guts to fight back heavily under pressure. maybe jeff lacy.... though i still think hes really really good.

but i dont think i ever remember thinking of a fighter like this... who i rate way way better then he is. only picking/(most case hoping) a fighter to win in a particular matchup where hes the underdog (mayorga vs tito/hoya) ect,

but you could be right.... only time will tell.

I think Williams will have a short reign fighting at that pace, you simply cant keep that up as you get older. He did show the championship heart, something I doubted before this fight.

Oh, boy do I wish we still had the old threads about welterweights where I had Williams ranked very high (I believe at #2) and everybody was :rofl :rofl :rofl and then naming the list of people that would whoop his ass. All I could say was "you'll see." And when people asked, "Who could possibly beat Mayweather?" I responded with, "At welterweight, only Williams." And that still stands. And by the way, Williams is still #2 and he can still kick Cotto's ass!

    mayweather would beat williams

williams doesnt assert his authority on the outside like he doe
lets be honest about last night he missed a lot of jabs and straight punches and because margarito is so ordinary as not punished in the first 7rounds, only when p-wol started losing imo concentration by fighting on the inside did margarito look like winning rounds

against mayweather williams wouldnt box on the outside because with the amount of jabs hed miss he would be punished with overhand rights, mayweather couldnt hurt p-wol but he could frustrate and make williams look for a knockout with 1 punch which wouldnt happen

he doesnt hit hard but his size is defo intimadating, when he fights big

Williams would actually land about 10% of his shots on Mayweather

I'm with you 100% no one is going to be able to deal with him. I was shocked by the way he moved in the ring and his volume of punches, height, speed and how he was relaxed in the ring.

Did you see the Mayweather - Corrales fight? The size didn't seem to help Corrales... if you know what I mean.

dont forget margarito couldnt adjust that was his problem

mayweather has proved he can he gambled on de la hoya tirig late and he was proved right he knew what he was doing

williams needs some more experience imo before throwing him in with cotto

Punisher looked ok when not near Margarito who was very slow and did not know what to do or have the nessrccery skills to beat a man who was taking soft potshots at him.

Put the Punisher in with a top class opponent who has skill and poweran he would get owned.

Paul Williams is probarly the top of the second level guys but would not cause Cotto et al any promlems.

He only won by two rounds which meant his flashy non hurtful stuff won him the fight and he lost most of the inside work that went off.

You'll be the first person I make an avatar bet with if Cotto-Williams ever comes off.

HOW can Mayweather beat Williams??? I think it's almost impossible esp if Williams fights the way he did last night. Mayweather can't pop shot and move like he's been doing because Williams wont let him. What is he going to do??? Get inside and brawl with him???

Just because someone is going to be the best, does not mean they deserve a high ranking.

Theoretically, Berto may become the best WW in the world one day, but if he is ranked high it's a mistake.

JCC Jr may be a champion one day, but to rank him super high is a mistake now.

I would gladly accept that bet. Punisher is good but i saw nothing to say he could beat an actual top level guy. He only just won against an opponant who was shocking last night.

I wish him all the best but Paul Williams needs to badly improve if put in with Cotto.

Dont overate a fighter before he has shown anything.
