Actually I've been Gvozdyk's number one hyper on this site for the last 4 years, so.... you're wrong, idiot.
WBC might order a rematch as it did with Pascal and Hopkins. Dawson was supposed to fight the winner but had to wait a bit longer.
Damn, I've just reread the resolutions of the WBC Board (https://www.boxingforum24.com/threa...theavyweight-division-situation.600108/page-2) and it seems like Gvozdyk will have to wait... Because they declared, I quote: "... 3. The winners of both bouts will fight ... ". But there was no winner in the Stevenson-Jack fight.... P.S. So now the WBC has no choice... Even if they want to enforce the Gvozdyk fight, they can't because can be easily sued by Stevenson's (or Jack's) camp based on their own resolutions, LOL.
The situation is really f***ed up now, because, for example, if Stevenson and Jack don't come to an agreement about the rematch (let's say should it be in Canada again or not) one of them (Jack, most probably) can try to stop the possible Stevenson-Gvozdyk fight by legal actions based on those WBC rulings...
I actually feel sorry for Gvozdyk. Because all this waiting and the necessity to be ready and available for his title shot chance is really messing with his fighting schedule. He definitely should fight more often. The best thing he can do, imho, is to synchronize his fights with Stevenson'. But even that is not so easy now, lol... Stevenson has declared that he (Adonis) should be more active, so what Gvozdyk should do right now? Fight someone (anyone) ASAP (like in a month or smth) and then have another fight parallel to the Stevenson-Jack rematch?
I don’t think this fight will happen, Stevenson has got some experience with avoiding mandatories, clever schemes or not. If it does happen, he gets Nailed.
But well deserved, Badraw had one job and he blew it. Again. He was supposed to free the WBC title and possibly get things moving in the division. We’re still stuck here wondering when/who/if will Stevenson fight.
Lol Badraw, you’re right of course,Floyd relationship with the WBC n all he needed to do as it transpired was to win a few early rounds but he gave the judges zero reasons to give him any of those lol......mr average I call him.
It’s all down the WBC now but with Floyds relationship with the WBC I’d expect it to happen if that’s what they want.
They (the WBC) are now hostages to their own decision to rule the LH situation out by way of an eliminator (Gvozdyk-Amar, Stevenson-Jack). And now they are stuck with only one winner... The best thing they can do now (as I see it, at least) is to enforce some kind of time limit to the looming Stevenson-Jack rematch.
You are correct of course. If Stevenson gets forced to defend against Gvozdyk he will vacate and fight someone else, e.g. Jack rematch, Bellew, etc.
I’m more interested in rematch between jack vs stevenson, than stevenson vs gvozdyk. Gvozdyk is a very boring fighter , I’d say more boring than jack
