Of course, the story has come down that Fitzsimmon's was telling Jim to knock him out, as Bob's hands were broken. Who knows? It's odd, though, that the NYT reporter calls Jim's KO -- a left that caught Fitzsimmons as Bob backed up from close contact with Jim -- a lucky blow. It's exactly the sort of punch you'd expect Jeffries to throw in that situation.
