I honestly don't know if it was even filmed JG.

I'm only going by accounts of the fight as to its merits as a classic. The best I can do is give you some links to some action pictures of the fight.

I don't know how obscure this guy is on this board, but he's kind of obscure in the general. From what I've heard and from what I see on this video, he could bang.

Jeff Sims is a great shout - apparently back in the day early 80's everyone in the gym was frightened of him - total badass by all accounts - the shot that he put Cummings out with was totally brutal - also a great shot that put Shavers down on his face with in the first round too

yes that was a very sad day,

andy was attacked at a bar in a very rough area of hawaii, im sure it was a case for a guy to make a name for himself for beating on a man that is in his late 50's. it was very sad and andy was transported to a care home in the mainland. andy was such a big name in hawaii in his day that our largest museum has it own gallery contributed towards it accomplishments.

the hawaiian punch name was actually picked up by another hard punching fighter from hawaii named jesus salud who had locally a excellent career with a world title and then young brian viloria who grew up watching salud took the name when he turned pro.

C This guy Lee Sala was NOT obscure to me...I saw Lee Sala of
Donora, Pa in NY a few times and he had a great left hook in the
middleweight class...Sala fought in the 1940s and 50s..Powerful left
    hook puncher....

SLAKKA, very interesting about Natie Liff, who I just heard the name of...But Lee Sala was primarily a left hook artist to the head and body...i saw Sala a few times at Eastern Pkwy Arena, a few blocks froim where I lived...sala was a good looking rugged guy, I recall...b.b.

His father, Lee Sr., was quite a fighter as well. So was Bruno Sala. It's in the DNA;)

Antwun Echols. Its a shame he ran into a prime Hopkins, as opposed to say Willian Joppy. He would have crushed Joppy for a belt.
