Yeah i was dissapointed vitali didn't put briggs away, but credit to shannon he certainly showed some bottle (even though his corner should have stopped it). Regarding vitali's technique, he does arm punch. Heavy arm punches mind, but he doesn't set himself and use the rest of his body to generate power.
Really? That's very good news then for us cause that means that Solis is really training hard! If Solis even shows up around 250lbs at fight time then Vitaly is in real trouble, even at 260lbs I still think Solis beats Vitaly. Guys, Solis has never been a ripped muscled type of boxer even in his great amateur days. If he manages to come in at 245lbs it's a great achievement for him! Go Solis !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Illstilz , keep on taking pictures of Solis if you can. Many boxingfans waiting for march 19 and Solis weight is important factor
Solis used to be in great shape in the amateurs: This content is protected This was in 2004 at the age of 24, where he weighed under 200lbs. Now he has peaked at 70lbs more aged 29. He is blatantly outside of his best fighting weight. If he hadn't gotten so fat after leaving the amateurs people would be expecting him to come into the ring around 220.
Yes I know but what I tried to say is that Solis has never been a muscled fighter like Savon was for example. Yeah he was in great shape back then but that was due to the " extremely strict Cuban amateur system ". A 240- 245lbs Solis at present would be formidable! :good
My friend, you just hit the nail on the head! Much respect to you for backing up Solis and the Cuban boxers!!! :good
The notion that he should 215 or less so he can look "ripped" is stupid. He finished his am career at a higher weight and should fight at his highest effective weight since he's a heavyweight. I think that's in the 240's somewhere and doubt that it's less than 230. He can hold the weight unlike guys like Chambers, Gomez, Kirk Johnson, etc. One more thing: Since he was making weight when fought at 200 wouldn't he be packing on like 15-20 pounds before fight time?
Solis looks a lot better than before, he's not going to fight at 200 anymore like he did as an amateur. He absolutely shouldn't either if he wants any chance against K2.
You believe that based on what his team said on Facebook?? Well, I suppose you do come from a very propaganda-friendly culture...
I think Solis is going to make K miss and press the fight from the 5th on, by the 10th K will b too tired to throw a punch and it will b all over, this if Solis come in shape, the jab to the midsection and the upper will b the weapon of choice fro a few rounds.
