I had high hopes for Solis. I don't think he is as done as Blake is suggesting, but I can't see him ever ruling the division. As disintersted as I am to see "the second coming of Ali", I do enjoy those skilled heavyweights. A big reason I had hopes for Solis and Haye. And I know some are gonna say, "What about Eddie?" Chambers is a affable enough guy, but every time I see him fight, I can't help but think he's in the wrong division. For my money, a focused and motivated Johnson beats anyone in the division without a PHD. And if he stays focused and motivated...........

Solis @ 225-235 would be a force in the division. He took the temple shot and KD ok showing his recovery skills to be adequate. That said, if he was 30 lbs less, he wouldn't have been nailed by that punch, and should he take a hard punch straight on and go down, he'd likely not torque his knee when wobbled. TOO much mass on that smallish HW frame. Oner should force this kid to get his act together or DROP him, with options of course. Perhaps being dropped will motivate him to get his **** together, into a gym and away from the booze, woman, and food. Should he stick around 240-260, he'll never be as good as even Ray Austin was/is. He'll be a top 50 HW, as gatekeeper or test at best. Not exactly a career worth defining.:-(

Solis was the second best amateur of the World ( only second to countryman Rigondeaux ). Solis was a beast, he absolutely dominated everyone in his good days. His lack of dedication, motivation and weight problems have prevented him from grabbing Glory in the pros, as we saw him last time out getting injured against Vitaly. But he will definitely be back and better than before. Solis will be World Champ, no doubt!
