I've been saying that for a while too. Pac is a nightmare style for Oscar. And Oscar was already shot against PBF anyways. Pac would have destroed the OScar that Mayweather fought. It might be a little different cause the bigger Oscar could have handled Pac's power better, but he still would be unable to get to him.

Roach said Oscar was unable to pull the trigger based on the Mayweather fight. So Oscar was shot against Mayweather just like he was against Pac. Although its true that against Pacquiao he was both shot AND weight-drained. But a few months early he had a fight at 150 so from 150 to 147 is not that big a jump. Just 3 pounds.

As for your 2nd point although Oscar has always been able to compete with speedy southpaws he had never faced one as good as Pacquiao. The closest was a Pernell Whitaker who was more shot than Oscar was when he fought Pac, so its really not even close.

Pac is better Oscar and a bad style matchup for Oscar.

Take Pac from the Diaz fight against the Oscar from the Genaro Hernandez fight, and Pac beats him.

If Oscar had fought Pac close like he did against Maywaether then i would say sure in his prime he would win, or of they fought at 154 he would win against the much smaller man, but the way he got destroyed... People keep saying that Oscar was weight drained well what about Pac moving up 3 divisions in just 9 months? Shouldn't that give Oscar some kind of advantage. That fact has fallen upon def ears. Either PAcquiao was seriously weight drained to death when he fought Marquez or he is really that much better than Oscar.

Pac beats Oscar any weight any time.

Pac made Oscar look much more shot than he really is.

Roach said DLH weighed 164 on fight night against PBF. DLH was 147 on fight night against Pacman, so the difference was a whooping 17 lbs.

There may or may not be a difference in the DLH that fought this two fighters. It's difficult to tell, really, since PBL and PAC are polar opposites in style. Against PBF, ODL was fighting a near flawless defensive fighter who chooses his shots, whilst against PAC, he was fighting someone who throws a lot of punches and moves around a lot.

Most people who picked DLH expected him to have about a 10 lb weight advantage come fight night. I think a lot of people would've been a lot more iffy about picking DLH if they knew what they know now about his weight.

considering how the fight played out, its not 10lbs that would have made a difference, not even 20lbs. The man got ****ing destroyed. ITs not like it was a close fight.

Maybe so. All i know is that if i had known that DLH was going to weigh 147 on fight night, i wouldn't have bet a dime on this fight let alone $1,600.

truth is that $1,600 would be lost either way.

LOL! All this weight issue, but people seem to forget that Pac NEVER fought in 147 before and he jumped from 135 to 147 just to fight Oscar. Nacho said himself that Oscar didnt have a problem making 147.

I bet you guys didn't know this.

In his two fights with JMM, Pacman rehydrated to 144 or 145 on fight night and in his fight with Diaz, he was also 145. So in reality, this was really the same guy who fought at 135 and 130. Just something to think about. I know most people say, "He jumped two weight clases." In reality, he didn't. His weight on fight night was just a couple of pounds higher than in his previous few fights.

so basically you're saying JMM fought a completely weight-drained Pac and still lost.

the main difference is that oscar is highly favored in the pacquiao fight but he never delivered what was expected of him. he made the wrong game plan in the pac fight and in both fights he doesn't have the gas and heart to endure him to last.
