    Pavlik didn't want the fight because Pavlik wanted to fight a MW...not a guy campaigning at WW. When HBO turned down the Rubio fight (after John Duddy got hurt), HBO asked Team Pavlik to take the fight. They begrudgingly agreed and then Team Williams stepped out before the fight could be made official.

    Hopkins stepped in and the rest? History.
