I nearly got into a fight tonight. I IQ'd the game cos my mates and I went out. Later on in the street I saw a guy and his missus walking by, the guy was wearing a pool shirt. I gave into my temptation and asked him who won the game. His girl snapped back at me saying "Don't start.SERIOUSLY, JUST LEAVE IT!!!"
I guess she thought I was taking the ****.

The way they are playing.... The Central Coast Mariners would give them a run for their money:twisted:

Totally off track.... I see that wide_open_anus has been banned .... I guess Admin doesn't take too kindly to member's kids being targeted.

Hope he enjoys his little holiday:lol::lol::lol:

After again seeing a PROPER replay of the incident, I feel that the footage and caption above is very misleading.

It wasnt as if Morris was dragged all that way into touch. He jumped over the line and tried to offload the ball before he hit the ground, but was a little late. If you see a proper replay, and not some Rooster4life spin job, you'll see this.

A wrong call, yes. But it was a more tougher call to make than the above suggests.

Regardless, this is silly. We're debating over how wrong a wrong call was in an incident that cost a team 6 points in a 22 point loss.

I completely disagree mate. I saw it at full speed and was like "WTF??!" when play went on. If I can get it right with a few beers under the belt, the touchy who is 3 metres away should have half a clue. It's not like it's Jaryd Hayne tip toeing down the sideline, both his feet were over the line.

While the better team won, I don't really think the winning margin is relevant to this. The officials were absolutely shithouse and both teams got ordinary decisions. I do believe that the Roosters got by far the worse end of the stick, and I'm certainly not a Roosters fan. Just my opinion.

I was on beer # 12 by then and Morris looked out at normal speed...both teams got gifted the first tries....refs had a bad game.

If the score was 16-8 then we should be talking about this but the score was 32-8

Saints had the worst first half of the year and roosters failed to put enough points on them.

Second half was all saints...glad to get the chocker tag off our backs

The issue I have with the above gif is that its carefully edited to make it look like its a case of him being dragged across the line, and if that were the case, we're talking a good foot and a half before he releases the ball.
In actual fact though, it's a case of him landing on the ground (this isnt AFL and you're allowed to be over the line providing you havent touched the ground outside or on the line) before releasing, and in this case, the margin to determine is much less.

We both agree is was the wrong call, I just think its not as bad as the footage suggests. It also didnt result in a try, the play 3 tackles later did, so the Roosters defence still let in a legit try.

In any case, the Roosters got into the grand final on the back of diabolical refereeing, and were flogged yesterday. For people (not you) to cry foul over a 4 pointer in a 22 point loss is just crying for the sake of it.

yeah, it just goes to show how something like this can be misleading.

I haven't seen the incident in motion & I'm not debating the decision or lack of one, but in that shot, what I can see is is an open hand with the ball behind it, which could quite easily indicate that it could have been 1 inch or one foot away, & the speed of these transitions, the touchy could have judged that the ball had left his possession before the breach.

Not saying that's what happened, just that the shot may not tell the whole story.:huh

Roosters had their chances in the first half and could of been 18-6 up. They blew it, not enough experience and push too many passes. On the Morris incident i was 100m away at the opposite end with 10 beers under my belt and saw him go out.

I was worried at halftime with us blowing a few good chances down their end of the field in the first half, and when it started pissing down i knew it was all over.

Congratulations to St George, they've been the most consistant team for the last 2 years, hopefully we see a more mature Roosters Team next year. Watchout we got 2 or 3 more stars that will make their debut next year :good

i see the Roosters doing real well next year.i see Carney and Pearce gelling even better 2nd year together.and heres a prophecy from Stiflers Mum Wayne Bennett will not be coaching the Dragons next year.he has achieved premierships with 2 different teams like Gould,Sheens now has a severely disabled son and will go back to Brisbane as Henjacks mentor.we are losing Smith,Costigan,Saffy and others but hopefully some youngsters can step up.Anderson,Stuart or Nathan Brown will be coaching Dragons next year.Browny would be my preference.but for this year.

Wayne Bennett is a top bloke. I remember seeing the doco about him years ago and he's a true gentleman and deserves to be labeled best ever coach.

Rusty should splash some cash his way :hey but nah, I'm more than happy for him to head back home and go out a winner. He deserves it.

Gibson was a better coach, He Started training techniques never heard of.
He was the first to start training defensive skills and techniques, He was in an era where players just turned up, threw the ball around and played.

Gibson set the standard. Bennett in todays era might edge Gibson...But taking into account Gibson's revolutionary Training style i think he is the best ever, He made Coaching what it is today.

Bennett has the luxury of having Defence trainers, weight trainers, wrestling trainers,Diet plans, etc.

Gibson did it with far less help.

Bennett is just behind Gibson imo

Rusty was after him a while back, and he may still be in the picture. Lang has no desire to coach after 2011, and will apparently move back to Queensland.

I'm not sold on Sheens to be honest. he had success with the Raiders, but did **** all with the Cows, and although he won a comp with the
Tigers, he's only taken them to the finals twice in about 7 years.

I'd love to get Daniel Anderson. Something terribly wrong must have been going on at Parra this year. They were just all over the place and never built momentum.

He played a big part in Smith's success at Parra, and he appears to have a good eye on the modern game.

Daniel Anderson seems to have a very short use by date, Warriors got off him quite quickly after he took them to a grandfinal. I think he stirs too many people in the wrong places.

I think Sheens at the Tigers proves that if he is given 100% control of his roster and setup, he can take them to a premiership. Tigers have been very unlucky over the last 5 years. A few of those years theyve done very well with the injuries theyve had. You also have to remember that where Sheens goes Benji is likely to go aswell.

Ive heard lang was never keen to take on the coaching role, was happy to be more of a mentor kind of thing. Really if Souths dont make it to the Prelims next year they are underachieving.
