Murata would make a nice pro. Maybe too old though. If he could have any success at 160 in the pro's he would be huge in Japan.

that was hilarious. Congrats to Ukraine, I hope the AIBA self destructs so we can at least see Lomachenko and Usyk in there.

I didn't see the Shiming bout so I can't comment on that but all the other bouts have been scored fairly.
Florentino was the better fighter marginally, it was very close. The ref taking those 2 points off was BS but to have Murata winning by 1 point after it all was accurate and showed that it was scored fairly.

Did Usyk sign the same contract as Lomachenko, i'm pretty sure Woodhall said he intended to turn pro.

Yeah it's a damn shame, the guy is a killer and would've likely been in the Gold medal match beating down Murata if he wasn't robbed against Ogogo. The biggest disappointment of the games for me.

Yeah. Usyk and Lomachenko especially would liven up the pro ranks, especially with gold medal credentials fast-tracking their careers.

Gvozdyk and Khytrov (both robbed) would have been nice additions as well.

Berinchyk to a lesser extent, and maybe Shelestyuk at Euro level at WW/JMW. Ischchenko, meh.

Russo's size and style is better suited for the pros. He could be a terror at cruiser.

It is a pro contract that Usyk and Lomachenko signed, with APB. That's the new professional league from AIBA being launched next year.

NBC is showing a replay of Joshua vs. Dychko, which happened 24 hours ago.

They're probably only doing this at Teddy Atlas' request so people can hear him cheerlead for Joshua (who he's been trumpeting for months)

It would be one thing if this was British television...but to randomly show one semifinal bout after the day's gold match coverage? Yeah, they're trying to build Joshua up for a pro debut on NBC and probably later dates on ESPN2.

Usyk maybe would be a decent pro, contender level or so, but i dont see anything special in him, Chahkiev looked much better when he won Olimpics and also I believe Beterbiev won his fight with Usyk and should be Olimpic champion
