I reckon Slater's a better attacking fullback than Lockyer was - Slater's always there to start and finish off a movement from a kick or broken play, usually resulting in a try, whereas Lockyer was more of a playmaker at fullback.
Lockyer is the best fullback I've seen, 5/8th is a tossup between Fitler or the King... Probably edged to the King. This may cause some controversy.
Lewis was nowhere near as influential for the Broncos as Fittler was for the scum. The same applies to Johns, which further strengthens his claim that Johns was the greater player.
Not that there really is an argument. Only red faced **** soaked Queenslanders would even consider such a thing.
Just heard a rumour that Benji's been shagging either Fulton or Gibbs's missus and hence was punched out in training yesterday :yep Bye bye 2011 for the tiggers
completely untrue... started on a dragons forum atsch http://www.weststigersforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7879
So you'd get rid of Soward but keep King? You can't break up the halves after one game, considering how badly the NSW front row was beaten.
lockyers hard to rate because even though he wore the number one he only played half the game there. he played fullback in defense and 5/8 in attack. So i guess you could say he was a more creative and versatile fullback than slater but thats not really the conventional fullbacks role.
It was clearly the blues game plan to use pierce more and take the pressure off soward (whose kicking game kept the blues in the contest :deal)
Wish everyone would lay off them. FFS they played a ****ing fantastic game, considering some calls went against us, we got in front after a brutal onslaught of QLD attach... WE are far from out of this competition, this is our best chance of the past 5 years to win, at least we have players in the correct position etc. Only change I would make was King for Learoyd Lars. On a lighter note, Tim Mannah is going to be the next best Forward in the game. Outstanding player.
