Without mentioning that he is one of the best middleweights around and that he beat the **** out of 170+ lbs guys even though he was past his prime
Only chance Cotto has is if Sergio is super-shot. If fight takes place, Cotto might get Ko'd and we'll see why FLoyd never even considered SM as an opponent.

Martinez, is a very tough fight for Cotto...the only advantage i give Martinez over Cotto is his power. Otherwise, Cotto is far the more versatile boxer/puncher than Martinez. I like this fight...
Cotto is about to feel true middleweight power. He's getting busted up and possibly stopped. Miguel had better try his absolute best to make this a rough/dirty fight and keep it on the inside.

Tough fight to call. Martinez is slick, but he's been avoiding father time for awhile and his slickness will probably be the first thing to go, especially after his knee troubles. Cotto is still great. He wouldn't beat the top 5 guys, but he's game and has heart for days. Fight would go to decision, most likely. Either Martinez picking Cotto apart or Cotto working the body and slowing Martinez down. Either route leads to a close decision. Would rather see Martinez vs GGG before Martinez gets TOO old and Cotto vs Canelo for the same reasons, but if politics keep those fights from happening this is a fine fight that I would be sure to catch live.
