    Alvarado looks very tight and stiff early on. Doing some decent body work and some good jabbing as Gallardo is set to dance and prance around a bit. The final 30 seconds Gallardo tries to open up a bit but he doesn't have much to over power Alvarado.

    the fighters will not walk to the ring before 11pm ET. It's like Pac-DLH, even if the undercards are all 1 round KO's, the fight will not start early. It gives networks like ESPN the ability to do live round by round updates during SportsCenter.

    A knock down plus an overall domination of the round gives Mike Alvarado the round with ease. Alvarado has a very good right hand and lets it go when he wants to. I see a little bit too much of the looping left though. He needs to straighten out.

    2-0 Alvarado with an extra point.

    Alvarado one day will fight Cotto, i've been dreaming of this fight since i started watching Alvarado a couple years ago...Solo Boxeo was great.
    He's not ready, may never be at that level, he's an older prospect, but he has a real nice package of attributes.

    Alvarado sort of falls in love with his defensive posture and takes some unnecessary punches. Nothing too bad or nothing landing flush but the judges see contact and go nutso.

    A LITTLE DANCING TIME from Gallardo in between a lull. Alvarado works the body real well for a younger fight. Looping rights are beginning to come a tad too frequently from Alvarado. Alvarado has a Cotto like THUDDING jab when it lands and when he throws it with frequency.

    What the hell, dancing gives Gaillardo the round.

    2-1 with a point for Alvarado.

    well ive heard, theres only one....
    good sparring partner for power and size,
    but this guy has nothing to compare with
    ricks foot speed and bounce.
