Official Khan V Peterson Scorecards

Those cards seem fair, a lot of agreement on many rounds.

I gave khan 11 in fact I thought it was a fairly straightforward round and if The two judges that scored it for Peterson had agreed Khan wins.

I might be getting mixed up with ten but those rounds were crucial and just show the fine lines that these guys operate on.

Just rewatched 10 and 11. Both khans for me. Arguable but the bottom line is 2 of 3 judges gave Peterson both and gave him the win. watch them, he did very little decent work in those rounds.


Just rewatched the second deduction and it's really poor. Ref shouts stop boxing, Peterson continues to wing away, khan complains, pushes him away then hits him.

Ref takes point for pushing. Poor refereeing.

 

I was wondering the same thing, I know he hit him after he called break but I thought he had signalled that it was for pushing, will have to watch it again.

 

Clearly said it was for pushing, terrible reffing. Khan pushed after the ref called stop boxing and Peterson continued.

 

come on guys don't dimish Petersons fight, Khans weakness was inside and i have said it in other posts that the way to beat Khan is to stay buried in his chest all night. He NEEDS room to fight as he can't fight inside.

Bradley said earlier this year that he knows how to beat Khan and he is not convinced he can fight on the backfoot with pressure -he was right.

Sure it was close but if you watch Khan he has been doing those tactics inside for a long time and i was saying then it is only matter of time until a referee picks up on it. As its clear in the rules you can;t criticize the boxing rules on it.

I had Peterson winning by 1. With both point deductions being pivotal.

Khan only has himself to blame, he has no inside game and resorts to pushing. He was warned over 10 times yet continues to do it.

Although I would have liked the ref to caution Peterson for his head going in constant

Either way great fight, think Khan takes it in the rematch. Khan lost the fight from ill disipline.

Had it 113 -112 Khan but no complaints with Peterson getting it, difficult to score a few of the rounds.

 

I loved Peterson's corner all that motivational stuff made me want to get up into the ring lol
all the "Don't tell me about the pain we worry about that tomorrow not now, NOT Today, lets go, you come to far now think back where you come from son"

 

:rofl @ 'can't get a point deducted for pushing', Seriously if Khan didn't push Peterson away which he did from round 2-3 onwards certain rounds people scored for Khan may of been Peterson round.

As for the thing with the point deduction, sorry Khan punched when ref said break how anyone can moan about that point deduction is beyond me.

 

I seem to be totally off here, but I scored it 114-111 to Peterson(7-5 Peterson in rounds) I thought Khan wasn't affective in his aggression throughout the middle rounds, and Peterson bossed him in ring generalship.

If Khan could have kept the fight going down the path it set off down then he would have blown Peterson out, but when Peterson adapted I thought Khan just got on his bike with the exception of a few bursts and spurts. I wasn't scoring purely for aggression. I just thought Khan was ineffective on the backfoot, and that's where Peterson kept him after the opening rounds.

I can see how you could get 7-5 for Peterson since he landed much better punches, hurt Khan three or four times, and controlled the fight for at least 6 of the rounds.

I scored it exactly the same as the middle Judge Valerie, except I gave Khan round 10 and he/she gave it to Peterson.
I dont understand why the first judge scored the other round with a point deduction 10-8 to Petrson- it looks as if he was giving Khan the round but the deduction at the end made him give it to peterson? surely he should have scored it 9-9?

 

Your not IMO, Your scorecard can be justified you seem to be a fan of quality hard punches. :good
