Official Prediction Thread: Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao

Well here is what I wrote about the possibility of the Govenor coming to Frauds Rescue ( not that any of you Fraud dic riders will care )

Pacquiao has some success with his workrate and unusual angles. Mayweather as usual, will adapt, and lower Pacquiao's workrate. Left jabs are often tough to land against lefties, but I've seen Pacquiao hit with a lot with jabs and I suspect Mayweather will have success with it, as well as the right cross, of course. Wouldn't be surprised if he lands the uppercut at closer quarters as well.

Hmm, interesting. I've known Pacquiao to be hard to jab against. I always seen that one of his best attributes is negating a reach advantage and isolating the jab. He's really good, very good, at getting into a preferred range, even with a much lengthier opponent.

I always say it's one of those skills that people forget.

 

I thought he did a good job at slipping Cotto's jabs by moving slightly to the side and countering/timing Cotto with his straight left. He was also getting caught with some Cotto jabs that would snap his head back, I mean they were very hard jabs...Same with against Morales.

Maybe I'm looking too much into those occasions. I'm hoping that's the case against Mayweather and he's able to neutralize the jab. He's got other things to deal with, most notably Mayweather's straight right.

It'll be interesting to see if Pacquiao can get the right hook in, and how often.

 

Official prediction is Mayweather wins a decision. UD most likely. Close rounds but enough to get past the split decision.

If Pacman does win it will also most likely be a decision. I highly doubt he knocks Mayweather out but I do believe he will score a true "official" knockdown.

He's probably gonna catch Mayweather with something and it's gonna make him sit down. I'd be shocked if it was bad enough to keep the pressure and allow Pac to stop the fight. Same with Mayweather. Mayweather is gonna stun Pacman with something he didn't see but in true Pacquaio fashion he's gonna come back with some heat of his own.

In my head it'll be more action packed than what I assume will truly go down. A "boring" Mayweather fight where nothing big happens aside a few moments of interest. Decision for either but fight leaves everyone underwhelmed.
