Plus he unified a division (when's the last time someone done that?) and is looking to do the same at bantam. He'd like his career to culminate in a fight with Vazquez. He'd probably lose but you've got to like what this guy is attempting. He's fighting regularly as well.

I was surprised at the amount of class he showed after he beat Arce. Did anyone find out which fighter it was in the ring that wanted Darchinyan and Vic said Arce would destroy him?

At least he backs it up,when you see one of his fights you know someone is geting koed, its better than listening to guys ike Hopkins and Floyd talking trash and then when the fight comes they stink up the place with a caution first performance.

I have seen Donaire, and I'm aware he's very good indeed.

But Darchinyan is better. Donaire is a more rounded fighter, for sure. But then so is Mijares.

    STFU you ignorant fool!

    ...
Darchinyan is truly a guy boxing needs right now, and there are very few of his caliber. Trash talk outside of the ring to build up a fights, furious, cocky, exciting and unique style inside, courage and huge heart to take challenges beyond sanity (going after knockout artist Agbeko in his BW debut, fighting the 4th champion in a row), and ready to go out on his shield for boxing glory and your entertainment - what more do you want?

Yeah, Donaire knocked him out with a beautiful left hand, and Agbeko might do the same. But compare Donaire and Darchinyan's quality of opponents since then, and you'll see a difference in quality between the two. Darchinyan is a REAL fighter.

A lot of hate from people who have absolutely no idea what they are talking about...This guys is cocky and borders on arrogant but he backs up what he says, has the balls to take on challenges and clearly displays respect for everyone he fights, before and after.

He has done his homework on Agbeko, he has watched a lot of his fights and rates his abilities highly..I dont know how else he could pay the man anymore respect.

Im not even that big a fan of him, I find his style exciting but ungainly and ugly, I prefer more pure boxers...but boxing needs more blokes with his attitude.
When he is gone you all will be complaining about fighters who stay on their own piece of turf, defend their piece of the championship and dont take any risks.

Thankyou whatarock for some balanced opinion!

Vic has supreme confidence in his own ability - I like it, others obviously don't but you got to give credit where due. He has brutalised 33 boxers other than Donaire - that punch he was trying to land on Donaire before the KO, my grandma could have avoided it, it was so full of bad intent and so telegraphed.....He got a shot in the ear and when he regained his senses he was still "not really there". He wants the rematch because he feels he can beat Donaire....at least this guy tries very hard to do very hard things....

He has brutalised champion after champion in his past few fights and now is moving up and aiming for another belt holder. Good luck to him. He probably gets as many people spending their $$$ hoping to see him lose as those who want him to win - that's the beauty of him.

Most of the people spewing crap about not respecting other boxers....he's been known to go to the hospital or contact the families of those in hospital after he's had his way with them.....that's respect and decency...all you Vic haters - it's easy to just spew crap and negativity but do so with facts in hand please!

I don't hate VIC. both these guys Agbeko and Vic are reckless. The difference is Vic has learnt what could happen if you get wild. AGBEKO has never lossed. And is confident. As he should. But that will change when he get's hit. He wings alot of punches = wide open. so is Darchi. man..I wouldn't be surprise if Agbeko catches vic attention with some nice 'straight punches". But I reckon Agebko will be caught cuz he is naive becuz he has no experience at this level.

But when James Toney does this kind of ****, people lap it up and love it. Ali did all that and more, resorting to racial insults etc, but that was fine too apparently.

Other guys talk like that, and absolutely stink up the joint when they fight.

Vic talks ****, and fights balls out. But yet people still hate on him. I don't get it.

A guaranteed KO, a bit of light entertainment (what the **** do I care if guys talk **** about each other), and a guy that wants to only fight the best. I don't see what's to like.
