No excuses from me. I picked Cotto to win on pts, but Margo won fair and square and Cotto was not able to get to the body simply because Margo knows how to defend the body. And whole thing about Cotto's nose was broken thing..I know he fought for about 8rds wiht a broken nose, but his nose didn't break by itself..I still love Cotto and he's still my favorite boxer and would love to see him move forward from this loss..also Margo got my respect.

He was only saying the ending saved us from any doubt or controversy that would have marred a great fight Aztek.:good
Also hes not bitter he's highly disappointed, which is different;he hasnt come up with dumb excuses or denied Margo his credit and he's still rightly proud of Cotto.

    I agree.

It would also help towards the fighter's safety. Dehydrating yourself days before a fight and then putting on 15+ pounds in the 24 hours before a fight is not good for the body.

If the weigh in is on the same day of the fight more boxer's would fight nearer to their normal everyday walk around weight therefore most boxer's in the same weight division would be naturally similar sizes.

Margarito weighed in at the correct weight. Until the rules change, it was a fight between two legitimate welterweights. No excuses here.

he did call those who had margo ahead on points at the stoppage "a bunch of clowns". that sounds a little bitter to me.

Originally I thought Cotto would win this via a UD, however the more I thought about it the more Margarito had something in his arsenal to counter something Miguel had in his. My final thought was that Cotto wouldn't be able to hurt Tony to head or body, would outbox him for the most part, but would eventually plant his feet and trade. The other thing that worried me for Cotto was that his body punching has been absent in his last few fights and Margo has NEVER shown any sign from bigger punchers than Cotto that his chin is anything other than forged steel lol

Fair enough. Also, rereading, his above post is blatantly saying that Cotto had "outlanded him and outfought:)nut) him"(quote)

Wheres the only thing he says about Margo is "Margarito pressured him and thats how they score fight"(quote)-NO mention of what Margo landed and damage caused, just that he may have got a gift decision at the end.

Reading his post again between the lines,i can see wha you mean:good
