I'd pick Mercer over Foreman by decision, but I wouldn't consider a win by either to be a huge upset. With Foreman the key word on the post above is poleaxed. But he wouldn't be polaxing the granite chin Mercer.
well if stewart thrashed foremans face======= mercers ram rode jab would do the same ...mercer via dec
Do you mean the Cooper who didn't train and was in his hotel with coke and hookers the night before the fight? Do you mean ****ey whose previous fight consisted of getting butchered by Mike Spinks three years earlier? Just checking....
So? Everyone has a reason for why they lost. There's few sports with as much excuses as boxing. Both camps know when the fight will be far in advance (usually), your job as a professional fighter is to train and show up prepared. If you don't, that's kinda on you, isn't it? And not altogether fair to dismiss the achievement of the winner, who might have beat you on your best day.
I think you're way off .. Mercer would easily outpoint him .. as far as Foreman stopping him please share what you're smoking .. :smoke
Considering the below average Tommy Morrison easily outpointed foreman I don't see how you could think foreman would win a decision over Mercer
Mercer's less than stellar showings against Ferguson, Wilson, and an old Holmes gave me inspiration to think so. :good
To be honest mercer lost a lot to guys he had no buisiness losing to. If foreman catches him on an off night then he could win a decision over mercer.
