A lot of people seem to agree with him. The older George was more relaxed in the ring. That means Muhammad could be more relaxed in the ring. To whose benefit does that inure to? I would argue Muhammad's benefit.

    No it's a tiny handful, 1 or 2 posters.

They only say it because they believe in the evolution of boxing, and a man coming back 20 years later to win the hw championship destroys their argument

It doesn't. Foreman, Briggs, and Moorer were the three worst lineal heavyweight champs since Leon Spinks and a shot Ali. Foreman won because Moorer was fragile even though there was no doubt on the cards. Moorer became lineal by catching a terrible version of Holyfield and got destroyed in the rematch.

Well it does. Boxing evolves every generation yet an absolute fossil of a man was able to go and knock out the HW champion of the world.

This is the problem these uber modernists never realise, the guys they hype up literally destroy their own arguments.

Like Pacquiao, flyweight champion from the 1990s able to convincingly beat an undefeated welterweight titlist from the 2010s.

Boxing evolution is such a weak argument which is lazy and removes the need to compare styles.

Are you trolling? Look on any threads debating old timers v new timers and you'll see people saying boxing has evolved so old timers have no chance.

You can't seriously dispute that unless your trolling.

    What's your angle here popkins?

This may shock you, but a trend may move in a certain direction without being linear.

This may shock you, sometimes a suspected trend isn't a trend at all.

Just the other day, an app on my iPhone glitched. I took this as proof positive that we were all better off on landlines, just like I'd always expected.

Earlier this morning I was surmising that due to thousands of years evolution you could definitely defeat every single caveman in hand to hand combat.

Deceitful nonsense. This thread is about Foreman. Show me one post that claimed boxing evolution is the reason Foreman have better intangibles during his comeback. You can't because youre gaslighting.
The topic of old Foreman possibly being better than younger foreman is deeply triggering to you. You should sit this one out

Bless, the point went straight over your head didn't it.

Let's simplify it for you. Foreman in his 40s was not as good as Foreman in his 20s.

Lol I should have known you were one of them.

You must be one of those crazy people who believes that boxing performance improves like almost every other sport known to man.
