I won't argue with that last sentence. I would just like to see more fights where we see who is the cream of the crop. I think the super 6 has been good and that's going on while lucien Bute is "another" champ. Unsurprisingly to me everyone has picked up a loss which is what happens when top fighters fight each other. All them fighters claiming to be a world champ when obviously with one title about most of them wouldn't be a champ. I'm not saying they're not good fighters but World champion should mean something. We'll see what happens to Ward when he fights Froch.
The problem for me is more a state of the game than the state of the fighters. I want to see the best fighting the best which just isn't gonna happen with all these titles.

I know what you mean about watching some of those old old fights by the way. All I can say is that I've been watching boxing in real time since the 70's and as a kid I read about the old time fighters mostly I was familiar with the 60's. In all that time I've never been as disillusioned about "the game" as I am now though I still love boxing and love watching competitive fights.

There was always padding of records and ducking .
Another thing is that it's untrue that fighters today have less experience . It's just that in the past sparring sessions were listed as actual fights .
