    Maskaev is jabbing and grabbing. Williams is walking through his jabs. Maskaev clinches more frequently, backing straight up and getting caught at the end of Williams' left hooks. Williams is just plodding in and hooking, devil may care, leaving himself wide open for counters and letting his left span half the breadth of the ring on the way in - and still managing to score. Maskaev ties up after each connect, and Williams taps him on the kidneys.

    One of he worst fights I have ever seen...like they grabbed a couple of Cleaners from out back and threw them in the ring.!!!!

    A vicious argument erupts over whether the fight is 10 or 12 rounds long. Williams refuses to accept that it is only ten rounds "BECAUSE I KNOCKED OUT MIKE TYSON IN ROUND 12 SO I ALWAYS DO TWELVE ROUNDS." Maskaev tells him, no, it was four rounds and anyway that was a washed up version of Tyson so so what? Williams has to take a knee and is up at around eight shaking his head, clearly irritated. They close and Williams lands a cuffing right to Maskaev's head as the Russian initiates a clinch. They work viciously inside, Williams insisting the fight is twelve rounds, Maskaev telling him no, it is ten. When a Russian television executive calls up that it is ten rounds long, Williams asks if "Ten" is Russin for "Twelve."

    Maskaev is backing up as far as he can, then curling into a ball and waiting for Williams and tying up when he arrives. Maskaev backs up and loads up a straight right hand. Williams fails to oblige him and looks at it rather than walk onto it. Clinch. Maskaev shoves Williams up against the ropes, mauling. Williams can't free his arms. He taps Maskaev on the back of the head instead. Williams loads up a 1-2 but gets blocked and shoved back into the ropes in the same two-armed motion from Maskaev. Williams is hurt by a left hook and clubbing right.
