Best version of Bowe likely takes this more often than not. Smart, vicious combination puncher, without any fear of pulling the trigger -- his chin will bail him out anyway. He will go to the body; he will slug it out; he will try to turn it into a dog fight if he slips on the scorecards.

Granted, Usyk (especially if he pulls a great fight against Fury) is in a tier where no fighter in history can just demolish him. He's always game.

Bowe is too good at his size for Usyk to win I think. He beat a beast in Holyfield who was an incredibly skilled warrior but smaller fighter, I think in Bowes case that size and power would pay dividends. At his best of course.

I find it quite shocking that the same people, who think Joe Louis is too simple to solve Usyk, pick Bowe here. Bowe is extremely crude defensively and I don't find him to be sophisticated on offense either. He has a size advantage, but that's the only thing he has over Usyk (or Louis).

thing is Bowe was aggressive as hell, and from what I seen of Usyk at heavyweight he looks a lot more vulnerable when effective pressure is applied, sparse as that has been.

Even against AJ he was backing up a bit and looked disorganised in round 9. My feeling is if Usyk backed up like that against Bowe he’d get eaten up, big daddy was a sharp finisher.

Alot of people keep saying "Bowe from first Holyfield fight wins" Holyfield was 205 pounds and fought a terrible gameplan standing toe to toe with Bowe. Usyk wouldn't be standing toe to toe he would be on the outside giving Bowe angles, and Bowe who hasn't got the fastest feet in the world would have alot of issue finding Usyk. Bowe had issues with fighters who fought him on the outside Holyfield 2, Tubbs, Biggs, Golota x2. Based on styles i'd actually favour Usyk to win a decision.

Riddick Bowe had a small prime but when prime he was a nightmare for everybody.

Bowe is the ONLY man to stop Holyfield face down and out............something Tyson and Lewis could not do.

Bowe stops the Bodybuilder, no ifs or buts and he will not be able to spit his mouth piece out a quit because Bowe will leave him on the canvas lights out.

Once Bowe figures out that Usyk is featherfisted he will walk him down fighting 3 min a round, Usyk either gets stopped or loosing a wide decision, if Usyk was bothered by the local bum of the month clubfighter Chisora's pressure he has another thing coming in Bowe;s pressure.

A morbid obese non ranked Enchilada salesman with no notable wins knocked the undefeated Bodybuilder flat out...........that tops EVERYTHING Usyk has done in 24...................because the Bodybuilder is the definition of a marketing hype job, he aint no fighting man, never will , never be, he is a Athlete.

I still like Bowe. If its Bowe of Holyfield 1, then Usyk finds him too much, gets knocked about and loses by wide decision.

Bowe stopped a very lackluster Holyfield in the 3rd fight, Holyfield who had Heptatis A and trouble summoning up any energy. Holyfield probably would of stopped Bowe in the 6th round if Holyfield had the energy.

Bowe would of probably of ducked Joshua, he seemed to find a way to duck all the notable punchers in the 90s. Atleast Joshua never ducked anyone like Bowe did with Lewis.

It's funny how you deem Usyk winning 9-3, 8-4, vs Chisora as "struggling" yet Bowe struggled even more getting gift decision vs a fat washed up/coked up Tony Tubbs, if Bowe couldn't find that version of Tubbs, just imagine how much difficultly he would have finding Usyk.

And how did Ruiz do in the rematch vs Joshua ? he lost 12-0. So no overall Usyk beating Joshua 18 rounds out of 24 in both fights is more impressive. You can befuddle and outbox your opponent and still look equally impressive, Mayweather and Whitaker made a career out of doing it.
