Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Usyk vs. Fabio Wardley

For all those thinking Parker is shite, it's amazing how a win over him suddenly means they'd beat George Foreman...

 

Wardley even being mentioned in the same breath as Foreman is ridiculous at this point of his career. Even with the stoppage over Parker. (which is admittedly, better a result than I thought he was capable of)

 

I think usyk outclasses wardley easily but usyk does not like boxers who are ready to go into a streetfight mode when hurt or frustrated . Not so sure if usyk is happy to face wardley .

 

Holding steady at sixty-something percent.

Easiest win for Usyk since Witherspoon, IMO.

 

Given what Justis Huni did to Wardley and the ease with which he was outpointing Fabio, it is hard to see Wardley much more than a round. He's a tough dude so I will say it will go the distance, Usyk 119-109.

 

Wardley kinda reminds me of Kownacki. I hope he doesn't end up like him.

Wardley is way better than Kownacki was tho.

 

Usyk is gonna start slow and cautious, figure Wardley out and then just lay into him all night until either Wardley's corner throws the towel or the ref waves it off.

I'm looking forward to it too. Once again the brits are talking **** and building up another HW, Frank Warren was clearly pushing for this and couldn't give a **** about Parker and Wardley's facade of respect and modesty disappears after a fight.

 

Should this fight come to fruition. This will be the first time since June 1992, where the undisputed heavyweight title will be defended. The last time was Holyfield against Cooper. And the first maiden defense since Holyfield-Foreman.

 

Usyk should figure Wardley out and out point him,but Wardley is tough with power and Usyk is getting no younger. Just imagine if the Unbelievable happened and Usyk with all his history and achievements both amateur and pro lost to Wardley who never even had an amateur fight

 

Usyk and Holyfield just can't help their careers being constantly entwined and subjected to comparison by fate, huh?

 

Imagine Fabio Wardley as the undisputed heavyweight champion...

Wardley went life and death with Frazer Clark so Usyk demolishes him in a few rounds. Wardley has the elite power to make any fight he's in interesting but I don't think he's as good as Dubois and look how quickly he got dispatched. Probably ends in a similar way, a well timed counter.

 

Does he? The man hasn't actually KO'd anyone of note in his career. Went life and death with domestic level Clarke the 1st time around. Did get him good in the 2nd fight. Got a KO against arguably the chinniest HW in the game in Huni who is basically a prospect level guy. And he couldn't even knock Parker down last night. Which plenty of people have done before. Needed the worst ref in Britain to wave it off early.

So where is this elite level power? I mean, the British boxing media is going to do their normal idiotic glazing like after the Huni KO and start calling him the Ipswitch Wilder, but it doesn't mean we have to sink to that level of stupidity. Does he hit hard? Sure. Is it otherwordly levels of power? No.

 

Usyk does to him what Huni did, except Usyk carries a lot more pop in his punches and won't walk into something like that, and even if he does he won't go down like a sack of bricks from the first contact. I see the towel coming in before the midway point, if not a proper stoppage from exhaustion ala the Dubois rematch.
