Usyk should really school Wilder and thats an understatement. Wilder would have a much better chance in his best days of 6 years ago of landing the right hand than now.

Maybe if he put egg weights in his gloves.

At HW he hasn't had many fights... But he's still beaten the guy with the best resume in the division twice, clearly.

And as far as this conversation goes, he's still much more proven at heavy than Wilder even in ca. 1/10th as many bouts.

In the 3rd Fury fight Wilder just decided to go out on his shield which is admirable albeit dangerous and stupid too. Anyhow, Wilder had legitimate success early in 3rd Fury fight w body work but...quickly got away from body work when Fury closed the distance and smothered him and started laying on him

In the WSB he did a shutout of Joe Joyce on every judges's card. That was a 5 rounder IIRC without headgear, which is how a lot of pro undercard fights actually look like lol.
His Olympic gold and World Championship gold are in Heavyweight. He did also beat Michael Hunter at CW, who's a solid heavy right now and probably was at the time of the fight after rehydration let's be honest.
If he beats Fury, which I think he will, he has a short but very legit run at pro HW. Would it have been any better if he crushed 14 no name cans before that?

You realize he beat a lot of super heavys at wsb who are/were world-class?
Joyce, madu... or how his name was and a lot of other guys

Realistically I don't think Wilder at any point would've had any chance at all with Usyk - not now and not in his prime (whenever that's supposed to have been).

Usyks just way too skilled, too clever and has a better chin than anyone Wilder's knocked out.

He'd break Wilder's brain - then everything else.

Wilder's most recent fight is proof that he has no chance against Usyk. No matter how bias you are this cannot be denied.

Yes he needs to step up and win some fights against the likes of Szpillka and Gerald Washington before we can class him the same as the noteworthy hw fighters.

Of course it would be more credible when he would clean up the division and also fought and won against wilder , hrgovic , zhang etc .

Nobody says he is a bad boxer since he is not , his superb skills are non questionable but i do not like his very thin fight record in pro hw .

    Exactly.

AJ is the second best HW of his generation behind Usyk and he has the best resume at HW. An inactive way smaller Usyk whooped him in his backyard and then he repeated the trick in Saudi with he huge distraction of his country being at war in front of Price Khalid

Usyk beat Chisora who beat Pulev, Washington and who many feel was robbed against former WBO champ (and surrogate father of The Dosser) J-Park all after Usyk beat him

Former WBA reg champ Dubois who is ranked #3, #8, #8, #14 by the sanctioning orgs just knocked out undefeated 340lb giant Big Baby Miller

Usyk also holds wins over top HW Michael ''The Bounty'' Hunter who holds wins over highly ranked Bakole, and Sergey Kuzmin, and a controversial draw against Povetkin

Savage punching HW Gassiev who has knocked out most of the Dosser's best wins in the gym.

Usyk also holds win over Ring ranked #8 Big Joe Joyce. In fact, Usuk holds wins over the current WBA #1 HW Bakole and the current WBO #1 ranked HW AJ

In the WSB he also beat huge punching 3 x world amateur champion Majidov who beat loads of elite SHW amateurs and future HW pros, MihaI Nistor who is stopped both AJ and Wallin in the ams, and Usyk also whooped Junior Fa in the WSB who beat Mak in the ams

I'm sure there's many more instances of this with Usyk too

And if you travel a bit down South Usyk holds wins over current CW champ big punching Goulamirian, only recently stripped or vacated CW champ Badou Jack, and down at LHW the demonic punching current undefeated three-belt unified LHW champ Beterbiev too who is P4P top 10 for many

So Usyk holds wins over world champions, former world champions and top contenders in three divisions all currently ranked in them right now. THAT. IS. WHAT. I. AM. TALKING. ABOUT

Can we just acknowledge the fact that Jack Massey and Shawndell did better against J-Park than The Dosser did? Open the door and invite that sink in

His two biggest wins at heavyweight are better than anything Wilder has done in his whole career. He would have utterly schooled Wilder given what we saw in December.

Based on wilders awful performance against parker i agree with you .

But when you judge wilder vs usyk by wilders weak performance against parker i never again want to see you making the "styles makes fights" argument again since it would be a double standard .

They do, and my statement doesn’t change that. Wilder has always struggled against fighters with fast hands and good footwork (as his own footwork and ring IQ have always held him back). Usyk posses incredibly high levels in both these departments, hence why he would be a stylistic nightmare for Wilder and most heavyweights.

This judgement is not solely based off Wilder’s performance against Parker, it’s based off performances against Fury in 2018, alongside Spzilka and the other fighters he has struggled with.
