Well that'd be a massive step up for Hrgovic, maybe too far, Usyk also may prefer a Joyce fight despite both being at a similar level. It just seems Hrgovic would have the higher ceiling of the two and hasn't got the same name value in the pro ranks. IBF also isn't next up in the mandatory sweepstakes and the WBO is so that'd be preferable, an interim title may grant Usyk an easy belt if it's vacated, so I reckon he goes with Joyce.

On top of that the mandatory for IBF is 35% which is a good purse for that potential AJ/Fury fight winner.

 

Hrgovic would end the Parker UK PPV merrygoround hopefully. Can't see Parker getting a win there if Hrgovic shows up.

 

Not likely: WBO already had installed him as mandatory for A.J and then looks that this had been delayed becuase A.J vs Ruiz rematch and later because A.J had in the ring Pulev.
Remember how bad Klit era in reality was if compare with modern era: 38 y.o Klit beat in 5 rounds 33 y.o undefeated Pulev who was not lighter than he and Pulev wasn't fat at all.
Now: 39 y.o Pulev fought for title vs A.J. 9 rounds to stop this Pulev's version.

Looks that he had not bad paychecks from WBSS1 tournament, especially Briedis and more for fight vs Gassiev, then cool paycheck for fight vs Bellew who then demanded that Usyk should put all belts and The Ring belt on line and most likely had assumed that he will go till hometown cards vs Usyk.
Bellew really was good boxer but he also did not had fight vs his mandatory in prime Briedis version.

Then: good purse for Whiterspoon fight, Chisora fight too had been paid pretty well.

Usyk looks that now also is boxing promoter, this means he is a businessman.
Why not to ask more $ for next fight?
