yea its rare to see a seek and destroy type cuban, if he can cut the ring a little better he'd be even more dangerous. His over hand left is probably the hardest punch p4p in amateur boxing right now.
Big fights today... Mohammed Rabii, Daniyar Yeleussinov, Roniel Iglesias, Antonio Vargas of USA, Levit vs Savon superfight, Majidov vs Dyschko superfight...many, many more big names fighting today.
If Shakur Stevenson medals at Olympics (Bronze to Gold), it should be seen a solid proof that he is the truth. He's in such a stacked division: Conlan, Nikitin, Robeisy, Butdee, Yeraliyev, Akhmadaliev. Damn.
Just watched their fight from World's last year close fight but i thought Melikuziev won if anything Lopez certainly didn't outclass him. I could also see Alimkhanuliy's size and mobility giving him an edge in their match too. Melikuziev is light on his feet, has good reflexes and mobility for a strong hitter really fun to watch. If he improved his hands from a defensive standpoint keeping them up more and got better at blocking and parrying shots along with using his reflexes instead of just slipping he would be something else. Also learn to sit down on his punches when the openings are there especially in the pocket, a bit more refinement and tweaking of his style he could be a monster.
Are you talking about the Tischenko-Uzb fight? Yeah that looked like a kd to me too. Either way Tischenko books himself a ticket to the finals, probably against Savon unless Levit pulls the upset.
Chit like this makes me not want to watch amateur boxing. There have been a few robberies so far, but nothing blatant, but Nistor literally beat the Jordanian from pillar to post, the only way the Jordanian could've won is by bribery.
