He was pretty cocky and over confident. He was needlessly switching stances using a lot of energy (injuring himself in the process). He trolls Vera with his hair color and gets stopped on the ground. I just wish i bet on Vera to win.
Vera is a real likeable guy, humble and legit. Hard not to like. O'Malley should probably make his footwork more efficient and selective.Seems like he injured himself.
I like O Malley, but he's gonna be called Suga Bones if he keeps breaking that foot. That like three times in 9 fights now that it's been injured.
I told my friends that he was being pushed and not to take him seriously yet. It's one thing knocking out guys like Wineland who are static targets with zero defense. Cringe is definitely right. Glad he lost. Dana is probably fuming about how that and the main event went.
Vera is one of the most underrated fighters in the UFC. This fight was a serious threat for O'Malley. The foot injury was obviously a big factor in this fight but I'm glad he got finished. I wanted Vera to win.
Bantamweight is the best division. So much depth and talent. Vera is indeed underrated and he might not even be a top 10 guy. That's insane to think about.
It was karma after O'Malley coloured his hair in the colours of Vera's country. Hopefully he learns some humility but I doubt it.
