Pick one fighter from the current year to fight and punish Riddick Bowe at Madison Square Garden, thirty years ago. My choice would be Oleksandr Usyk. Yours?
I think Usyk would defintely outbox that version of Riddick Bowe, I am not so sure about punishing Bowe because Uysk doesn't have the physical strength or punching power of Andrew Golota. I think that AJ may possibly be a present day fighter to really punish Bowe and maybe even Fury.

Not sure. Bowe s somewhat untested vs big punchers. How about Zhang? Sure he doesn’t have great stamina but he has a big left hand and a huge right hook. Not sure if Bowe can defend vs that.
Usyk is the easiest choice I think. I would've said Fury aswell but that Ngannou fight has made me lose confidence in his ability to handle an aggressive big man. Joshua would pose similar problems to Bowe that Golota did. I think Zhang would give him trouble and could conceivably beat him if he showed up in bad form.
Prime Riddick Bowe was better than all these guys. Usyk is really skilled but if he struggles against guys like Chisora or Briedis, he has no chance against Bowe. Bowe doesn't get enough credit for his skill level. Fury is also very good but he wouldn't be able to bully Bowe or outfox him on the inside. Joshua? No chance in hell!
Bowe struggled against plenty of guys too. I wouldn't say Usyk would "punish" Bowe, but he'd have a reasonable chance of winning.
