Man i love some Canelo and i keep trying to tell my self hes got a chance but man i dont see it!

What does Canelo do better then Cotto?? Since alot of ppl are picking Canelo, ive been asking this question alot...i dont get any good answers hahaha! because there isnt.

Cotto has better footwork, better stamina, better jab, better body work (Canelo throws some damn good body shots too, would say tie but Cotto know for body shots) Better defense (This is easy for me, barely got hit his last 3 fights) better trainer, more experience, i mean DAMNNNNN!!!

The only way i see Canelo making it competitive and having a chance to actually win 7 rounds is if Cotto stands and trades! Will Cotto do that?? Cotto is known to get down and s**** it out but he doesnt just stand there. he moves side to side, up and down. even when he gets you on the ropes, like he did aginst Mayweather, he throw a few, step back and go right back in. So canelo would have to make the older wiser fighter fight his game which should be try to push him against the ropes and trade because Canelo has great combos. if thats not his gameplan, and he comes ni with that dumb ass gameplan like he did against Mayweather and trys to box Cotto he will get schooled.

So I think canelo has to fight the PERFECT FIGHT to stand a chance. All i hear from ppl picking Canelo is that hes young and will have a size advantage. well........:-:)-( Cotto has been smaller then every fighter hes faced in the last 4 years expect for Mayweather. which Mayweather was taller and had longer reach. So if your just banking on that....good luck my friends...ppl will say im a Cotto fan boy, or a Canelo hater. you can look up the threads.

    Prasing Canelo http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=510023

    Not prasing Cotto http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=150824

So dont come on here saying i just love Cotto and i always pick him. Listen im a boxing fan and i break down fights and have made a ton and i mean a TON OF MONEY BETTING BOXING!! I will be betting alot of Money on Cotto and im gonna start this weekend. also will be taking the under rounds because we just dont know how good Canelo's chin is. and maybe possibly he could catch Cotto and drop him but highly unlikey.

    Oh I cant wait!! :bbb:bbb:bbb

Canelo's about to bring the hammer down. I think we're about to see the best of him at middleweight, which would undoubtedly be a huge win for the sport.

Aging, fading and slightly manufactured champion gets deposed by popular, talented up and comer who has forced through fights people said he'd never sign up to face. We need Cotto the diva out the door. Time or some new blood.

I wouldnt mind if Canelo won! that would be huge for the sport, really would. But I dont see it, he's gonna have to prove me and many others wrong. his 3 biggest fights, Trout,Mayweather and Lara he didnt look good at all. So i dont expect him to look spectualr here, we shall see.

Also how is Cotto a diva? never understood why ppl said that. hes fought them all, a diva would not have his resume, not at all :good

Cool. Well firstly with all due respect to Miguel he doesn't move half as well as Lara or Mayweather and received a bit of a schooling from Trout so I feel those fights don't tell us a great deal about how Cotto Canelo will go. I think Canelo is just going to break him down with educated pressure and bully him to the ropes where he can unload.

Roach has definitely improved him offensively but defensively? I'm not so sure.

Diva-ish behaviour? That's deserves a thread of its own. Demanding catch weights, top billing even when challenging etc. the list goes on.

If you look at who he actually won his titles against then it paints a pretty sorry picture. He's lost whenever he's really stepped up to the top table barring his victory over a faded and severely handicapped Martinez.

Has anyone won vacant titles in more weight classes?

I'm worried about Canelo's punch output. He doesn't put his punches together often. When he does, he does it great, but it's just few and far between. Majority of rounds he's just throwing single shots, and even then in a conservative manner.

I still think Canelo will overwhelm Cotto with his size and youth though. Have you guys seen his recent pics? He looks huge. Like a full-blown middleweight. Oh, wait that's cuz he is.

People keep trying to push this "new Cotto" angle.

Hes the same guy who got decisively beaten by Trout, except older.

Canelo finishes him in the late rounds

    :dead

    Cotto's been hurt many times...

He'll likely hit the canvas... get up...
then get stopped on his feet as the referee
jumps in to save his tender mandible...
