No one mentions it because PBF tripped over Hatton's foot. The better example is Zab but Shane isn't the natural counter-puncher that Zab is so he won't be as effective doing so.
It's absolutely a shoulder roll. Role = position taken or part acted. Roll = moving you are "rolling" with the punches.
I believe Floyd should beat Pac with ease, but the only punch that Pac has that scares me is that sneaky right hook he has that he throws immediatly after his opponent comes at him. He can DEFINTALY catch Floyd with that if he attempts to go to Pacs body, which he will eventually.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uACoHbaB61c[/ame] Incorrect. You're probably thinking of the leaping left that came AFTERWARDS. I'm talking about something else. Look at 10:14 to 10:17. You can keep pausing it if it's too quick to catch, but it's VERY clear that Floyd attempts a straight right to the body, and Hatton counters him, causing Floyd to stagger slightly. His feet don't get tangled up at all. The trip after that bit is unrelated to my point. Correct.
Most of the other fighters aren't fast enough to use these tactics over and over and over. Why haven't they if these weaknesses are so obvious? 'cause Money's speed wouldn't allow them to. Before they can capitalise on his mistake he already moved to safety and the only thing his opponents are hitting is Floyd's afterimage. Other than that, his opposition the last few years consist mostly of less reachy opponents. In combination with Floyd's speed and skill, it's hard to pull off these tactics. Maybe Pac or Mosley can do it 'cause they are faster than the average Floyd opponent?
Problem is that Judah caught Floyd with that right hook when Mayweather tried to throw a straight right hand to the body not a jab. After that happened Mayweather realized how risky that kind of punch was against his opponent and being who he is he became more cautious with throwing that punch. His signature jab to the pit requires much less commitment and is therefore harder to counter compared to his straight to the body. If pac had the balls to fight him I don't think Mayweather would carelessly launch a right downstairs as he would know to respect pac's speed. Go to 0:35 [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=din0rds-EfI[/ame] It was a straight right. I'm a Mayweather fan, but his mitt did touch the floor from that zab hook counter. Don't know why they didn't deduct a point for it.:huh
When someone starts a post by insulting the forum and telling people how not to reply, I stop reading.
Yeah you're right it was a right hand. I'm wondering why they did not count that as a knockdown as well.
Speed is the key to beating Floyd, Zab showed signs well timed speed can upset Floyds game. Hope Floyd is around still fighting in 18 months, Khan wants a shot at him, love to see Floyd try sliping some of young Khan raw speed long arm shots.
