Cant see the fight happening, Erdei wont drop down a division for a European title shot when hes WBC champ at Cruiserweight.
TBH I think Erdei has bigger fish to fry than Cleverly. Would be highly surprised to see this happen.
Erdei has already said he's not staying at cruiser. And what with the high risk/low reward that comes with an Erdei fight, I don't think Zsolt is in a position to pick and choose his fights.

Erdei's already vacated his WBC cruiserweight title. As for the thread question, yes I think they'll make the fight as long as it's here. As for the linear thing, if you follow that lineage then yes it would make Cleverly linear champ should he win.
he was a small light heavy fighting at cruiser and has done his hit and run to get a cheap belt there, wont be fighting at cruiser again. Erdei is going to find himself fighting for the vacant WBO or against Brahmer if he can stay out of prison. Cleverly could be in line to fight him for the vacant belt but Frank might hold off and wait for an eliminator. For me, Cleverly beats Erdei now, put him in there.
Just looked on Boxrec and when he fought Fragomeni, he only weighed 178 lbs, thats crazy that, a stone and half lighter than the Cruiserweight limit and he was giving away 17 lb to Fragomeni, no wonder hes staying at Light-Heavy.
I doubt Erdei goes to Canada to fight Pascal. Erdei isn't a huge draw and without a title who care's ? I fancy Erdei may retire and go into training perhaps?
It would be a great opportunity for Cleverly. Erdei is a good fighter but he's not a dangerous fighter. He hasn't got the power to knock you out at any time. It comes down to a boxing match, Cleverly would fancy himself with his activity and youth on his side.
Yeah, this would be a very good scalp for Cleverly and I definitely believe he's got the tools to beat Erdei. If they can make it they should take it.
