thats the dumbest crap ive read in a long time ,thats the whole thing abut boxingit can last 20 seconds or 36 minutes i suppose you want mike tyson to pay all th 100s of millions in ppv he eared be koing guys in 91 seconds?when he was running thru every fighter in 1 or 2 rounds?people knew before paying for tysons ppv that the fight would be over in less than 6 minutes 85% of the time yet hes made the most ppv money in history think before you make a statement befiting a ******ed 3 yrold?
That's HIS style of fighting, the stalking/charging in thing, that's how he fought all his career and when his opponent can bang harder and has the power to back him off he's basically toast. He just overpowers opponents and usually makes it an ugly inside type of fight with punches to the balls, back to the head and so on. That's what he does in his fights and failed to do it because Pac just proved he can punch way too hard for Hatton to handle. He might have gotten out of the 1st but it was basically OVER in that round, he hit the canvas TWICE and the second time he was backing off like he's basically done with. Then he comes in the 2nd round semi recovered but not that recovered, Pac just took his time in the 2nd and was timing a hayemaker, first time he unloads he missed, you can see he threw the same punch that ended it 1 minute before the last one and it missed, then he waits and times it once again and BOOM he nails it and it's over. Hatton was never in the fight because of Pacquiao's power not because of the mistakes he made. I'll repeat again, if anyone expected Hatton to transform into Sugar Ray Robinson after two training camps with Mayweather Sr. then these people are delusional or just don't know the sport. Even if Mayweather Sr. is as good as some THOUGHT he was he wouldn't have the tools to change Hatton completely, Sr. is a good trainer but nothing THAT great really. Adding some improvements takes time, Steward's first fight with Wladimir was a disaster, even the second one looked terrible against TOS, the improvements started to show from the Peter fight onwards. These things take time and Hatton's choice of change came too late really.
I thing Hattons main problem is the fact that he wanted to mentioned alongside the likes of BARYY MCGUIGAN ???? Wish granted
Now, i get the general meaning of your post, but realise Ricky was out of the fight after 120 sec, the time for him to absorb 4 right crosses, because he was walking in a straight line hands by his side and head stationnary vs one of the best punchers in the world. That's pure cockiness. You don't need to be SRR to avoid these basic mistakes. Ricky felt each of these right crosses, but instead of protecting himself went in for more . Ricky's a danger to himself.
hatton looked good against stephen smith mike stewart ben takie took him the distance but he had more help from referee dave paris than mayeather got from cortez against hatton also remember kostya was almost 10 years older than hatton ,juan lazcano had him in ***** street a fewtimes also collazo as robbed urango as a disapointment and he fights a shot castillo why does hatton not use a double jab even i it falls short its a measuring tape doubling up a good crisp jab protects you more from countr punchers lie pbf who just drew hatton in then zapped his lightning jab to the head all fight i didnt see a great show over malignaggi either paulie cant crack an egg yet haton cant really give him a sound beating. no boxer can live the lifestyle hatton does blowing up between fights and not think it wont catch up to you especially a boxer who are by far the fittest athletes in any sport. i dont cal it a sport yo can play baseball football basketbal but yu cannot play boxng.
Hatton is like Vic Darchina they fell in love with power and think they can KO everyone. But in reality they gota glass jaw and can be KO'ED. Specially when they don't care about defensing.
""I believe that with the help of Floyd Snr [Mayweather's abrasive and disaffected father] I have got back to the real Ricky Hatton, one who knows how to jab and has good balance and I know my strength. I look at Manny and I think, 'Why should I worry about his power, he's not big enough to hold me off?' but then again I'm not planning to just jump down his throat." "Filipino reporters keep asking me, 'How are you going to deal with Manny's power?' and I just say '**** off'" -blah blah blah. So how did u deal with manny's power? "I dont know i was just KTFO." - Hatton
A ****ing ****** could see the difference between the 'old' Hatton before Mayweather Sr, and the guy who hesitated on the outside against Malignaggi and Pacquiao. Or can you not, ******? That was the whole point of all the "CHANGES." Who the **** are you calling "genuis," FOOL? I know some of you whiny BITCHES want full credit for the Pacquiao pick, and you have it. There's only two of you sour patch babies, BTW. :rofl Everyone else doesn't seem to have the same INSECURITY you and Beenie Baby do. The people who don't have to say anything about this **** are MEN, not little girls like yourself. Yuk it up, ******. :smooch You're embarrassing the other Filipino's who have class. Go suck your own dick. Thanks. Bye.
This is the sad thing. Hatton is indeed a media creation, or hypejob. He really had himself convinced that he was a modern day Roberto Duran.
He had tens of thousands of his fans cheering him on. He reverted, reverted to fighting like he did 5 years ago against Kosta. Thing is... He isn't the fighter he was then. He simply tried to please his fans, to brawl. He paid for it, but at least, like it's been said, he was trying. Stupid gameplan or not he gets credit for that. And it's hard to have a stupid gameplan when the only thing that showed Pacquiao has true one punch power at these weights is... you guessed it, the Hatton knockout itself.
