Ah well, point remains - size/ strength are Brocks main assets, not skill.

I think they're throwing Lesnar in with a shark in Mir. If he wins - Lesnar is the goods. I expect Mir to submit Lesnar in the first or second round.

Perhaps what Joe Rogan meant about Lesnar being the prototype of the future refers to former WWE Champions making the leap to the OCtagon. If Lesnar is successful, we could see Triple H squaring up with Fedor in the not too distant future.

Honestly, I'm hoping he will fail.

I think it would be better for the sport.

    How so?
He has a semblence of a future at least, more so than crippled Mir.

While I can't speak for him, I think he means that if Lesnar is a success it will be ammo for MMA haters since he was a pro wrestler and they have no idea he was a real wrestler.

Well, to an average viewer it would mean MMA is a joke. Professional wrestler (pretty much a showman) showing up in MMA and succeeds would not look good for the sport.
Yes he has great credentials but not in MMA. Mir has great credentials in MMA. Logic follows, in MMA Mir should win.

I want Mir to win mostly because I am a Mir fan, I like his style of ground fighting, plus he is probably the best commentator that is also a fighter.

You're right, it would be farcical to the non-hardcore. (ie alot of people on this website!)
I guess it also doesn't help that the UFC is marketing him legitimately as the fomer WWE heavyweight champion of the world and showing footage of him in pro-wrestling powerbombing people.
