If Loma's gonna chase a belt-holder, I think Salido is his best pick. Though I feel the former didn't have enough experience to beat the latter... ..but, what the heck, that's what i felt about Donaire v. Rigondeaux too, so....
Lomachenko will work his way to a pretty standard decision. I can't see many people winning a round of this guy. Rigo vs Lomachenko would be very interesting. I think Lomachenko would also do a better job on Donaire than what Rigo did.
This being scheduled so soon is blowing my mind...Salido will be a tough litmus test if it goes past eight. Lomachenko looks awesome though. If forced to make a pick...Lomachenko. Very confident fighter.

Would be an entertaining fight, that's for sure. I think Salido would test Loma's chin a few times, but ultimately Loma would take a UD.
Its funny how loma deserved a title shot in his second pro fight he should fight a few ranked guys before getting that shot
I don't know how will salido deal with speed of loma, but overall I'd favor Salido. Loma was getting hit a little too much yesterday and that can be dangerous with salido. I think he's being moved too fast.
You know:good The hype.....ah, it's not as bad as the hype of some of the garbage men we're forced to follow. But how about LOC. Debut against a solid fringe contender and challenge for a title, vs a solid veteran titlist in his second fight. Hard to NOT be a fan of his, win or lose, after this fight.:shock:
There were points against Ramirez when Loma seemed to lose his shape a little bit when dealing his his foe's pressure. But he also showed he's got real power at the lower weights and his body attack is something to be reckoned with in its own right. Lomachenko by decision by scoring multiple kd's, only to fade a bit in the championship rounds. He'll hang in there, though, and benefit from the experience.
I thought looking at Loma he could do with a few more learning fights. His footwork is superb but a little predictable at times. He spins off right and left a lot almost like its an ingrained habit. A fighter with fast hands and feet could absolutely decapitate him when say he spins left and his opponent throws a right hook. What did people think of his power? I thought he could sit down on his shots more. To me Loma is taking big risks in his fight selection probably driven by ego. Great for the fans though. There will be no easy fights for Loma so having less experience as a pro is always something that can trip him up.
Loma has a lot of talent, a lot of skill, but IMO still fights like an amateur - fights in spurts, darts in like a fencer, lands a shot, then darts out. Watching him last night reminded me of a young Amir khan, which isn't a bad thing if Loma has a good chin.
Vasyl Lomanchenko shoould try and face someone who doesn't have that much experience first maybe try and get Guillermo Rigondeu Who beat him in the amateurs? I guess he as 396-1 and had beaten the prospect from Puerto Rico Felix Verdejo in the Olympics
