Pretty lousy stoppage by the ref, though. Maybe the ref figured he'd be protecting Campbell from any further stupidity.

 

Can anyone find that picture where Ortiz allowed Mayweather to wrap his hand around his throat? I mean come up, what fighter would allow that?

Now he's acting like a ***** complaining about getting knocked out by a sucker punch? Ortiz you dumbass, you were in the ring to fight, NOT TO HUG AND KISS YOUR OPPONENT!

This is why people think he has no heart. He broke like this before in that Maidana fight.

 

And thats why he deserved to be knocked out. There is no "sorry, did I hit you too hard?" in boxing. If you are there to hurt the opponent, then go out there and try your best. Do you think Bernard Hopkins would have apologized?

Well in my book all the blaim falls on the ref.

Mayweathers corner distracted the ref ala pro wrestling and Floyd leveled Ortiz with two illegal blows for the KO victory.

That lousy ref lost complete control of the fight. He should never be allowed to put on a bowtie again!!!

 

reminds me of the ****** mexican in Training Day..the one at the table.

this will go down as one of the biggest bonehead mistakes in boxing.

Its dumb refs like Cortez who kept getting fooled by fighters sneeking illegal objects into the ring without getting caught like Margarito and smashing fighters. And Cortez getting destracted by Mayweathers team and with his back turned Floyd crushing Ortiz with two illegal shots for a knock out.

 

Did you see how Bernard Hopkins beat Roy Jones Jr? Or some of his other big fights? He fights dirty, low blows, pretending to be hit behind the head, headbutting, all the tricks. No one says his wins dont count or that he's a sociopath of boxing, or anything like that.


They say hes a legend, a great champion, who overcame an age difference to win. So why treat Floyd differently?-------------- A win is a win, and Ortiz lost because of himself, not because Floyd cheated or was exceptionally dirty. Floyd responded how a majority of fighters would have. I wish the ref would have DQ'd the coward Ortiz.

Ok Ortiz isnt the brightest tool in the shed but that the was the ****in refs fault. That was his ****in fault!!

So Ortiz got bullied during the weigh-in, sucker punched during the fight, and he still apologize to Floyd after the fight.
