I just can't see it happening as Ortiz is all wrong for Wilder, he could have made alot more money & had a much easier night vs Whyte.

Ofcourse i hope i'm wrong & the fight does happen, ortiz wins by KO/TKO in the middle rounds.

I’m going with wilder, Ortiz ain’t the same Ortiz who battered Jennings, wilder needs to stay 100% switched on and box behind the jab for the first 7 rounds and break him down and stop him once Ortiz tires.

I don't think it would be disastrous at all. If Wilder loses who cares if Joshua/Wilder ever happens because Wilder is only relevant because he has a belt, just like Stiverne was only relevant for a short time because he had a belt. If Wilder loses his best win is still only Stiverne or a Szpilka or Duhaupas, people will say he was exposed and was never that good which well might be true.

If Ortiz wins then Joshua/Ortiz becomes the big unification fight. Ortiz would be seen as a genuine threat despite his age. Fact is even before winning a belt and beating Wilder people saw him as a dangerous opponent to Joshua. Him beating Wilder and picking up the WBC only reinforces that idea.
