I'm no fanboy,I never really like dhim that much till more recently.Yes he looked bad but as you said weight, age and Pacquiao himself were the causes.

    Yep.

And haters like Kush will be the real clowns when Oscar shows the world his fight against Pacman was merely an aberration.

Oscar should have kept busy when he was still on top after the Mayorga fight. He only has himself for letting his career and legacy slip.

It was an aberration that he didn't win considering the situation. It just shown what an old weight drained fighter can't do

Not to make excuses for him, but Oscar was not fit to be in the ring that night.
    He had nothing.

I still can't figure out why he weighed in so light, and then only put on like 2 lbs after the weigh in???
He was totally f---ked. He should have weighed at least 155 in there.

He must have been too weak or sick to eat and re-hydrate properly... or had the runs from eating all that dear meat! lol

Either way, that would be a pretty lousy way for any HOFer to go out.

Oscar's legacy is already intact. He was already a HOF'er before he ever stepped into the ring against Trinidad a decade ago. Nothing that happens now is going to tarnish what he had back then. It was 12 years ago that Oscar was the #1 pd 4 pd fighter in the world. The fact that he is still even around is amazing enough. Especially considering that he is still fighting the best in the world.

You can’t devalue your legacy, just because you lose P4P best when you are way past your prime.

But it would still be nicer, to see Oscar win he’s last match.

Well he fought in PBF and Pac the best P4P in the world, I'll give you that but just because they (Especially Pac) are number 1 pound for pound does not make them the biggest threats out there. I would personally be embarrassed to lose to a guy who had only fought once at 135 pounds and went up TWO divisions, regardless if he is number 1 P4P. If Ivan Calderon, a 108 pounder was P4P #1 , does that make it excusable that Oscar lose against a guy like him ? Nope. Oscar was a great fighter but he should retire and enjoy his wife and family before something unfortunate happens to him. He quit in his stool against a 130 pounder. Imagine if it would have been Cotto or Margarito in that ring. Jesus Christ.

I respect Oscar, especially when I use to bet against him and lose. He was weight drained period. He is not a WW. I truly believe in the thread's author that he will return at 154 and of course beat Chavez, jr. and find a way to fight one more megafight before it is all over. Thunder, you are a better poster to go out like using that kind of vulgar statement. Next time, use your intelligence to break someone down. You have done it before.

It doesn't matter what weight class Pac had fought in before that. Even when Pac fought at 135, he weighed 147 on fight night. When Oscar and Pac fought, Oscar weighed 147, and Pac weighed 148 1/2. That is all that matters.

Well Ok I respect your opinion. But still he has to retire. If he quit against Pac imagine what a dangerous opponent like Cotto or Margo would do to him. And I even believe Pac was holding back some times. He could have finished even faster. I know DLH has a huge ego but enough is enough, enjoy your millions, your beautiful wife, beautiful kids before you get hurt Oscar.
