Ive seen this interview now and he also claims everybody in Mexico wants Canelo to knock Golovkin out this time and that they dont care that he got busted for the drugs cuz its so common in Mexico cuz of the meat.

 

What kind of country would support drugs and cheating.Its not normal it’s illegal and if they think can clenbutroling their way to the top and get away with it.Better be careful cuz Mexboxing boxing is looking suspect .I can see entire ban on Mexbuterol boxing,.

Love him or hate him, Oscar was the most popular non heavyweight ever and only reason Floyd beat his numbers was because of the social media age. But Tyson and Oscar did it before utube or any of the other social media outlets hyping fights up. Their hype was all word of mouth. And people bought their fights regardless if they had lost already, unlike Floyd who 80% or more of the people purchasing his fights were just watching hoping to see the other guy KO him. Floyd was never a true PPV king, not to mention he needed Oscar just to propel him there and Oscar, Jones, Trinidad, Evander, Lewis, Barerra, Morales, etc all had to wash up and retire before Floyd even broke into a PPV. When all those guys were fighting, there wasn't even room for FLoyd on PPV. Some of Floyd's biggest fights were on boxing after dark and world championship boxing LOL Make no mistake, Oscar was PPV king during a legit era, Floyd was PPV king or so called, only after everyone else washed up and retired.

 

Nice post! The PPV model has changed drastically over the last 20+ years. If we go simply bu numbers, Floyd is the most popular fighter ever. More popular than Tyson or Ali. Point being, numbers should be taken with proper context. I don't know if most posters take that in to consideration. But you hit the nail on the head.

 

Drama sells, especially in this day and age of sensationalized media.

The thing that sucks is I used to support Canelo and looked up to ODLH when I was boxing as a kid/teen. Canelo seemed like a humble kid with guts to fight whoever, whenever, wherever. Much like ODLH, he was a champ and has talent to burn. It's a shame that Oscar the boxer didn't pull through into his role as a promoter.

Since the Trout fight the ODLH/Alvarez show has been nothing but diva antics, corruption and blatant steroid use (don't try wash it either). I can't **** with a cheat in a sport where peoples lives are on the line.

For that, I blame that mother ****er Dela Hoya.

Only to switch the narrative when your favourite fighter in Canelo was popped for PED use, with rock solid evidence.

-Failed two tests while in MX which values were consistent with consumption of contaminated meat
-Took hair follicle test!
-Enrolled in VADA's 365 program

Pacquiao-
-Refused random testing for years

Can't catch someone if they avoud testing like its the plague.

 

Show people in the street a pic of Floyd Mayweather jr 90% would not have a clue who he is Show them a pic of Muhammad Ali & EVERYONE would know Ali
