Oscar De La Hoya was overrated

Nonsense. Floyd retired because Oscar didn’t want to renegotiate the terms of the rematch. Floyd threatened to fire Roger for training Forbes to fight Oscar. “Messing with my money.” Since Oscar wouldn’t renegotiate, the only way Mayweather could get out of the contract was to retire for the pendency of the contract. lol If Floyd didn’t want a rematch, why did he ask for one in the ring?

 

Mayweather saw what Oscar had in the first few rounds and never had to lift his game. I thought from the start that it looked like Mayweather was carrying Oscar. You saw the fight differently. That’s cool.

im always a rational guy, it limits mistakes. floyd had to retire because the contract he agreed to would force him to rematch dlh. he had the fight, had he really wanted it. he didnt want it. everything else is bad excuses.

Mayweather in his prime had a close fight with a past prime De La Hoya. Oscar was not as good after being stopped by the much bigger Hopkins and defeated twice by Mosley.

I scored DLH-Mayweather a draw, many had DLH winning.
